"The King Will Come [From Argus]" as written by and Martin Robert/turner Turner....
In the fire, the king will come.
Thunder rolls, piper and drum.
Evil sons, overrun,
Count their sins judgment comes.

The checkerboard of nights and days
Man will die, man be saved.
The sky will fall, the earth will pray,
When judgment comes to claim its day.

See the word of the prophet
On a stone in his hand.
Poison pen revelation,
Or just a sign in the sand?

The checkerboard of nights and days
Man will die, man be saved.
The sky will fall, the earth will pray,
When judgment comes to claim its day.

See the word of the prophet
On a stone in his hand.
Poison pen revelation,
Or just a sign in the sand?

My InterpretationAn awesome song when i saw them do it live and a fine example of the "twin lead" guitar sound they were famous for. This song is about the Prince of Peace, the Lord God--Jesus Christ!

The lyrics are loaded with images from Revelation and other Biblical passages. A majestic guitar tribute to the Almighty..I'm proud of them for recording this and playing it live so many hundreds of times. Laurie Wisefield and Andy Powell could crank up those Marshalls and wail out killer solos and lead lines ALL NIGHT!! What a truly underrated ensemble.
