There's no sweat on your brow
Do you remember when there was?
And all you needed was a good set of walking legs
And how you'd stay up high away from the floor

But that's the only place you seem to be
Every time I stop by to say
How are things?

There's no hope left in your hands
Where went all of those good old plans?
And all we needed was to have a constant stand
Staying way up high away from the floor

General CommentFrom my understanding, this song seems to be about knowing someone who's stuck on something instead of growing up and moving on. More specifically, I interpret this something as being drugs. This someone used to be a hard worker who used occasionally but now their life is consumed by it. "That's the only place you seem to be" refers to the line "Stay up high away from the floor" which to me translates as someone just being high all the time. That's just my interpretation though.
