So I came across a small child on the run
He glanced at me made his fingers into a gun
He said you need God along with spirituality
I turned to him bid him thanks and left kindly
I ranaway so quickly, I had forgot to run
Should've known these lakes, streams, and sun
Would get me thinking about what he was conveying
Turning them into my grey sky now I'm wondering
I guess it was my curiosity of you by my night stand
Tightly weaved between his body and hands

So begging a god to help me just wont help
Then headed to a monastery all I could prove was hell

But I'll be alright traveling this road, can starve a man
But then again, I'm still searching for a home in a not so foreign land
I guess finding that love is just a blanket to me
Just like a baby fighting off sleep and insecurity
Yet, it won't warm through the winters,
Or find you here claded in armor

So begging God to help me just won't help
You can head to a monastery and all can prove is hell

And I might be traveling this road, to find home
But I can't make it alone
I'll find my way back to your house
And I found a way back through the doubt
Everyone else was laughing at me
For not doing what I'd think

So begging God to take me just won't help
To head to that monastery and all I could prove was hell

And I'll be alright traveling this road
Because this road could starve a man like me
So when I came across that small child
I asked him what he meant then said I'll see you after while
Went down to that local tavern
To find myself (in) something that I was concerned

Pour my hopes down this barrel
Triple barreled sorrows and you were no where to be found

So begging God to take me just won't help
I went to that monastery and all they could prove was hell

I asked that child why am I meant to be alone
And he said you to keep searching for a home
I'm sorry man that you've lost your life
If it was anything else you may have been right
I found out that love is just a blanket
I found out that life is just a forfeit
I couldn't find you here
I found my life there

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
