It's the truth in love and war
Worlds collide and hearts get broken
I want to live like I know I'm dying
Pick up my cross and not be afraid
Is true what they say that words are weapons
And if it is than everybody best stop stepping
Because I got ten in my pocket that'll bend your locket
I'm tired of all these rockers saying come with me

Wait it's just about to break
It's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins
It's not going away
Everything's about to change

Creep in like a thief in the night
Without a sign without a warning
But we are already prepared to fight
Raise up your swords and don't be afraid
Is true what they say that words are weapons
And if it is than everybody best stop stepping
Because I got ten in my pocket that'll bend your locket
I'm tired of all these rockers saying come with me

Wait it's just about to break
It's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins
It's not going away
Everything's about to change

This is your warning
Like it or not
I break down like a record spinning
I got to get up
This is your warning
I'm tired of listening
I'm warning you don't try to get up

There's a war going on inside of me tonight
Don't be afraid
There's a war going on inside of me tonight
Don't be afraid

Wait it's just about to break
It's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins
It's not going away
Everything's about to change

It's just about to break
It's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins
It's not going away
Everything's about to change

General CommentHere's what Trevor said in a article explaining what each songs means on the new album 'The End Is Where We Begin' on the site newreleasetuesday:

"This song embodies the heart and soul of this record both physically and spiritually. I think it captures that urgency--that there are wars going on all around us and inside us. There’s something beautiful about “the sound of change,” and I think this song covers those ideals and the essence of battle. Change can be beautiful and painstaking, but rarely is it comfortable."

My InterpretationI think that the song has an encryptic message that I can personally relate to.... Trevor may have gave us the explaination behind the lyrics, but my personal interpretation is that something major has happened, and you can tell that a war is going on and something is about to change for the better or the worse. Hence the fact that he said that it was a warning and like it or not, it will change. Words are weapons and that it will change the war with your psyche. The whole point of the song is to say that you're warring with everything that is happening and you're at a breaking point... A lil food for thought.

MemoryThis song brings back memories of when I moved to my current high school. It brought up memories of when I was cutting myself and I was so down I looked like an emo skeleton. (Hence the name emoChikki (Chikki is my way of saying chick)) I was so depressed and it always brought my mind into a senseless war over my emotions and how I felt when this happened...

General CommentI think this song is about the battle of christian faithhow he wants to not be afraid of the devil and he knows the devil can bring him down with just one word. But he also knows that he wants to be a christian and trust in god
