Just wake up, I shouted
There's some blood, around her
Clean it up, it's okay
Go get help, it's okay
I'm too young and now it's,
It's gone numb around me
Ambulance in driveway
Speeding up the highway

Suits were made for men, not boys
And this faith that we fake is a choice

I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
If it means goodbye
And I don't wanna see
I don't wanna be there
If it's the last time

Hold my brother's hand
And I'm his mother stand-in
then the sudden panic,
like a drugless addict

It's too late, the moment
When it runs you over
No one's safe, I need her
No one say it's over

Suits were made for men, not boys
So leave me alone
And this faith that we fake is a choice
So take me (home)

I don't wanna go
And I don't wanna go
If it means goodbye
And I don't wanna go
I don't wanna see her
If it's the last time

General CommentThis song is incredible. I'm guessing it's about his mother dying - "i'm his mother stand in" . Though i don't really know how, the line "Ambulance in driveway" and the get help reference made me think suicide or something of the like but then the line "it's too late, the moment when it runs you over" thinks car accident?

Either way, it's beautiful...the first stanza especially i think.

My OpinionI always thought this song was about his brother or someone who he felt was like a brother to him. "Suits were made for men, not boys" expresses the feeling that this person is too young to die, and he "holds my brother's hand, and I'm his mother's stand in" means he was there for him when his mother wasn't or couldn't be there.
But, I'm confused by the part that says there's blood around her and that he needs her. Maybe this woman and this brother or friend were both shot?

Song MeaningIt's quite obvious that this song is to reflect upon a person's death. In the first verse, the listener can imagine the guy finding a close person bleeding and about to die, screaming, "Wake up!" He cleans up the blood on his hands so he can call for help. Then it simply sings about the ambulance coming and going to the hospital.
Now, my favorite lyric is "Suits were made for men not boys." Now, in my opinion, this is conveying the fact that men usually wear suits to funerals. By saying suits were made for men not boys, he's saying that he's too young to wear a suit, also saying that he's too young for the person's death to happen.
I think the chorus is exemplifying that he doesn't want to go to the hospital if it means that the person is going to die. He doesn't want to remember the last moment with the person as him going to the hospital to officially know her passing.
The second verse reflects the part where they are waiting in the hospital. He's having panics from worrying about what might happen, and he's referring to the "moment" as the part where you have to accept they're dead. "When it runs you over" can also be a small reference to mention that the accident could've been a car crash. He can't accept what just happened, so it says "no one say it's over", and "no one's safe, I need her" can refer to how he's going to lash out on anybody who tries to explain to him that it might as well be over.
This is a beautiful and simple song that just shows the whole story of what he had to go through when an accident happened.

My InterpretationI thought it was about a young man dying as well until I realized the song is mainly focused on a woman dying (mother?). The suit part can mean that as a young man, he shouldn't have to be taking on the role of a grown man. That is why he thinks "this faith we fake is a choice" because once something terrible happens to you, it becomes hard to see the world positve anymore and he clearly is hurting. I love this song.

My InterpretationSuits were made for men, not boys
And this faith that we fake is a choice

    I don't wanna go
    I don't wanna go
    If it means goodbye
    And I don't wanna see
    I don't wanna be there
    If it's the last time

I personally think this part reflects on how people feel at a funeral of a loved one.
"And this faith we fake is a choice" to me this reflects how when something bad happens and there's nothing you can do people often look to God. And people who have never prayed before start to pray. He is saying that they choose to fake this faith now in the hope it will make things better.

"I don't wanna go..." I think he is talking about the morning of the funeral. He doesn't want to go because he doesn't want to say goodbye. saying "I don't wanna see, if it's the last time" He doesn't want to see her in the coffin because he knows its the last time he will see her.
