"When We Stand Together" as written by Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and Joey Moi....
One more depending on a prayer
And we all look away
People pretending everywhere
It's just another day
There's bullets flying through the air
And they still carry on
We watch it happen over there
And then just turn it off

(Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
We must stand together
(Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
There's no giving in
(Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hand in hand forever
(Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
That's when we all win
(Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
That's, that's, that's when we all win
That's, that's, that's when we all win

They tell us every thing's alright
And we just go along
How can we fall asleep at night?
When somethings clearly wrong
When we could feed a starving world
With what we throw away
But all we serve are empty words
That always taste the same

The right thing to guide us
Is right here, inside us
No one can divide us
When the light is leading on
But just like a heartbeat
The drumbeat carries on

And the drumbeat carries on
(Just like a heartbeat)

General CommentI hear a lot of people hating on Nickelback all the time. Well, I dare anyone to look at these lyrics and not be inspired and uplifted by the message that is being presented here. Nickelback, I don't care what anyone else says, you are truly awesome!

General CommentI see this as a song about poverty, and how no one is making an effort to help stop it. Great lyrics, just love it. This is quite similar to If Everyone Cared, just in the message it's trying to put across.

I appreciate this line most and it would be the united nations that I would hold accountable for the reasons that this cannot occur. If the world stays in a constant state of conflict without resolution, then no one has made the choice to change and every nation is collectively responsible. As individuals, the task ahead is to show other nations what our own nation lacks and get external support without being labelled as a traitor.

My InterpretationNickelback is talking about a lot of issues in American society: poverty, hunger, war, political apathy, and broken political systems.

General CommentIs it " when the light is leading on ", or is it " when the light is nearly gone " ?

General Commentbest song on the new album. i know a lot of people hate nickelback (inculding my mother) because of all their raunchy lyrics. but after putting out songs like this how is it possible to hate them? i've listened to this song so many times in a row i've lost count. no one can hate this song and still be a human being.
