"I Got Nothin'" as written by Darius C. Rucker and Clay Mills....
It's my third cup of coffee
The fifth time I said I'm sorry
The sun slowly peakin' through the glasses
Says we've been up all night

We both know where this is going
It's been a long time coming
Is it really over?
Is this really goodbye?
Maybe I should say something
Maybe you'd change your mind
Maybe, maybe
Buy a little more time

But I got nothing
No magic words
To stop your leaving
To end this hurt
I'm just blank
I'm starring into a space
Prayin' please, please let me think of something
'Cause I got nothing

I watch you pack your things
You look down at your ring
Slowly slip it off and then
You lay it on our bed

Maybe I should pick it up
And get down on my knees
Tell you what you wanna hear
And give you what you need

But I got nothing
No magic words
To stop your leaving
To end this hurt
I'm just blank
I'm starring into a space
Prayin' please, please let me think of something
'Cause I got nothing

You're almost at the door
And you stop and turn around
You're eyes are begging me
Please say something right now

But I got nothing
No magic words
To stop your leaving
And I can't end this hurt
I'm just blank
I'm starring into space
Praying please, please let me think of something
'Cause if you go
I got nothin'

My InterpretationI was in a situation similar to this with my last girlfriend. Our relationship ended a couple months ago and word for word, it completely played out like this song. There were times it seemed like we were going to end right then and there and the final time, it was like I had nothing really to say and since the talk of leaving was becoming quite evident, it was like I got nothing to really say because when I did, it wouldn't matter anyways because her mind was completely made up that she wanted to leave. Listening to this song has been theraputic because word for word, it describes my feelings about the situation in the last month and a half we were together before we broke up for good.
