i made a list of all the friends that i never wanna see again,
and i am sorry but your name fell below every single one of them,
high school is over and i've wasted too much time,
making sentences of words just because they rhyme,
you wouldn't smile if you knew how i felt about every single one of you

so stop please i want to go home
but if i do i know these guys aren't gonna leave you alone
and it's my world that doesn't mean much
but i hate your friends and their influence
i'm going crazy- i've lost my mind
but this basement scene's left me so far behind
shut down, lose everything, forget what you know, believe what you see

now that it's over things are a little bit awkward
avoiding all the spots so i won't have to talk to her
sorry for playing the dickhead role
when all you ever really needed was a hand to hold
and i thought that you'd be the one thing that i could take home from all of this
i was wrong (i was wrong)

stop please i want to go home
but if i do i know these guys aren't gonna leave you alone
and it's my world that doesn't mean much
but i hate your friends and their influence
i'm going crazy i've lost my mind
but this basement scene's left me so far behind
shut down, lose everything, forget what you know, believe what you see
(forget what you know believe what you see, forget what you know believe what you see)
just leave

stop saying hi to all of your old friends
learn to survive on only the new trends
does anyone else think these girls are a little too young to be here
(little too young to be here)
they say face your fears but i can't stop running
stop telling jokes cause they're not funny
swore i wouldn't steal but i need some money
swore i wouldn't steal but i need some money
( i need money, i need some money)
(run go just go just go it doesn't matter)

stop please i want to go home
but i know these guys aren't gonna leave you alone
and it's my world that doesn't mean much
but i hate your friends and their influence
i'm going crazy i've lost my mind
but this basement scene's left me so far behind
shut down, lose everything, forget what you know, believe what you see
forget what you know believe what you see, believe what you see

I think this song is basically a high school graduate spewing drunken honesty at a party. He's complelling his feelings towards his peers, his friends and the girl he's romantically or was romantically involved with. He's clearly not thinking straight and can only focus on her and the people at the party; getting distracted (does anyone else these girls are a little too young to be here) he urges her to change and let go of high schools, old friends and behaviors. Our Narrator did something to hurt or piss off this girl and wants to apolgise, and regrets what he did. He's only staying here at this party to make sure she's safe and isn't bothered by the other guys there, he really doesn't care about his feelings and needs to "keep her safe". In all he either passes out or is pulled off the mic. Anyways that my idea. Thanks!

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
