I've lived a lot of different lives
Been different people many times
I live my life in bitterness
And fill my heart with emptiness

And now I see, I see it for the first time
There is no crime in being kind
Not everyone is out to screw you over
Maybe, oh just maybe they just wanna get to know ya

Now the time is here
Baby, you don't have to live your life in fear
And the sky is clear
Is clear of fear

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing
I wanna feel like I am floating
Instead of constantly exploding
In fear and loathing

Got different people inside my head
I wonder which one that they like best
I'm done with tryin' to have it all
And endin' up with not much at all

And now the time is here
Baby you don't have to live your life in fear
And the sky is clear
Is clear of fear
Of fear

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing
I wanna feel like I am floating
Instead of constantly exploding
In fear and loathing

And when the time comes along and the lights run out
I know where I will belong when they blow me out

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing
I wanna feel like I am floating
Instead of constantly exploding
In fear and loathing

I wanna be completely weightless
I wanna touch the edge of greatness
Don't wanna be completely faithless
Completely faithless

When the time comes around
When the lights will go out
When the time comes around
When the lights they go out

    My Interpretation

I love this song so much so Im gonna try to make a good interpretation

I've lived a lot of different lives Been different people many times

Maybe this person doesnt knew abour her real personality so she was pretending and faking to be someone who didnt was her.

I live my life in bitterness And fill my heart with emptiness

For having a life with insecurities she was so sad and depressed .

And now I see, I see it for the first time, There is no crime in being kind Not everyone is out to screw you over Maybe, oh just maybe they just wanna get to know ya

Relates very well about social anxiety and its trying to live again and let persons come into her life.

Now the time is here, Baby you don't have to live your life in fear And the sky is clear, is clear of fear

She is getting the idea to leave the feelings of insecurities and fear. Go trough a life of fear.

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing I wanna feel like I am floating Instead of constantly exploding In fear and loathing

Wanna be normal and leave all the kind of worries that could be for the anxiety and the fear that doesnt leave her the life that she need to live in a normal state.

Got different people inside my head I wonder which one that they like best

Sometimes she still wanna be a fake and pretend to be someone who doesnt is her just to have the approval of everybody.

I'm done with tryin' to have it all And endin' up with not much at all

Maybe she was just too perfectionist and was trying to have it all like a feeling of "never is enough".

And now the time is here, Baby you don't have to live your life in fear And the sky is clear, is clear of fear Of fear

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing I wanna feel like I am floating Instead of constantly exploding In fear and loathing

And when the time comes along And the lights run out, I know where I will belong When they blow me out

If she still lives in that way she could be worst than the start because she would be just a fake.

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing I wanna feel like I am floating Instead of constantly exploding In fear and loathing

I wanna be completely weightless I wanna touch the edge of greatness Don't wanna be completely faithless Completely faithless

This is the best part for me of this song. She wanna live weightless , I guess that weightless of guilty and fear so she could raise the good things to happen to her life and finally could be herself and dont try to pretend anymore who she is because she would finally be with more self-esteem and confident.

When the time comes around When the lights will go out When the time comes around When the lights they go out

Maybe she is starting to live again in the right way and not anymore in the fake way.

    It´s a wonderful song.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
