"Something Like Olivia" as written by and John Mayer....
Well Olivia is taken
But a look like hers can be found from time to time
Yeah Olivia is taken
But a look like hers can be found from time to time

I'm thinking something like Olivia
Is what I need to find

There's only one man in this world
Who gets to sleep with her by his side
There's only man in this world
Who gets to sleep with her by his side

I'm thinking something like Olivia
Could keep me through the night

Now I'm not trying to steal
No lover away from no one, man
No I'm not trying to steal
No lover away from no one, man

But if Olivia herself rolled up my door
I'd have to say I'd let her in

Something like Olivia
Something like Olivia
Something like Olivia
Something like Olivia

I keep thinking something like Olivia
Is what I need to find
Something like Olivia
Something like Olivia
Something like Olivia

General CommentI felt the need to post this... My daughter's name is Olivia, she's 5 years old. She is the most precious girl in the whole world. The second I heard this song I played it for her... She said "Did johnny make this song?" I said "Who's Johnny?" She looked at me "He's in my class, he's always looking at me and it creeps me out, but if wrote this song then I'll stop telling him to stop looking at me!"

General CommentI think the lyrics are pretty self explanatory... he wants someone (olivia) but she is taken by someone else. but in general, it's a girl like her that he is looking for.

I'm just so excited to finally have a song with my name it!!

General CommentI really like this song. It's a great song to listen to while thinking about a crush you have on someone when you can't be with them for one reason or another.

General CommentThere's always a John Mayer song about longing. You have to wonder sometimes how long this is going to go on.

Then again, I'm not complaining. I love this song.

Like a lot of great songs, it taps on a specific situation which everyone must have gone through at one point in their lives.

This song is like a grown up version of Love Song For No One. Yeah?

General CommentI totally feel like it is Olivia Wild as well. She is with an Italian dude and has been with him for a long time. Plus she has been in 3 or 4 popular movies recently and i can totally see John Mayer diggin her.

Song MeaningI bet you anything it's about a guitar. Notice he says "something," not "someone."

My OpinionThe name Olivia means Goodhearted & Loving - also represents honor, love, peace and victory.
In Latin the meaning of the name Olivia is: Olive: symbol of peace.

General CommentI love this song. Has a Stevie Ray vibe. I'm thinking this could potentially be about Mr Mayer's old flame; Jennifer Aniston. She played a character called Olivia in a film called "Friends with Money." This might be a stretch though? Maybe it's about Olivia Newton-John? She is a babe. Grease Lightning!

My OpinionI'm a personal friend of John, and he told me the original lyrics were "well, chlamydia has taken, and I'm gonna look like this from time to time", but the record company didnt like it so they got him to change it
