I'm lying here on the floor
Thinking out loud to walls,
Breathing slow and drawing fast
Conclusions that could never last,
If? When? Why? What?
How much have we got?
Dreams are sung to help me on,
God, oh god, what have I done?
What have I done?

Was it for me? Was it for you?
Was I too ignorant to choose?
Was it the will? Was it my way?
Was it a foolish thing to say?
Was it the heart? Was it the start?
Was it the time we spent apart?
Was it goodbye? Was it the lies?
Would've been easier not to try..
Was it for me? Was it for you?
What can we do?

Night falls, leaving me
In thoughtful caliginosity,
And every time I look, the sky,
The stars remind me of reasons why
Pondering and puzzling
Is worthless in the grander scheme,
With infinite possibilities
And millions of probabilities.
If? When? Why? What?
They set it right,
But I've given up.
This place, a man is hardly home;
I thought I'd left no unturned stones...

What can we do?
What can we do?
What can we do?
What can we do? (whats in it for me?)
What can we do? (whats in it for you?)
What can we do? (whats in it for me?)
What can we do? (whats in it for you?)
What can we do? (whats in it for me?)
What can we do? (whats in it for you?)
What can we do? (whats in it for me?)
What can we do? (whats in it for you?)
What can we do?
What can we do?

Song MeaningI really like a lot of the imagery in this song.

I'm lying here on the floor
    Thinking out loud to walls,
    Breathing slow and drawing fast
    Conclusions that could never last,

He's laying on the floor talking to himself, thinking of all the things that could've fixed things, yet knowing that none of them would work.

Obviously he regrets ending it - but isn't quite sure why thinks went wrong, and so is questioning himself about why things fell apart.

    Night falls, leaving me
    In thoughtful caliginosity,
And every time I look, the sky,
The stars remind me of reasons why
    Pondering and puzzling
Is worthless in the grander scheme,
    With infinite possibilities
    And millions of probabilities.
    If? When? Why? What?
    They set it right,
    But I've given up.

Caliginosity - I had to look this up - it means darkness. Night falls, leaving him in darkness, and he's realizing that thinking about what went wrong or how he could've fixed things is pointless compared to the scope of the universe, its inconsequential, and there's so many possibilities you could've ever consider them all. And then he goes back to questioning himself again.

    This place, a man is hardly home;
I thought I'd left no unturned stones...

I'm not sure about this line. "This place, a man is hardly home" - is he following the previous thought about the world, and commenting on how we're hardly on this planet long enough for it to feel like home? Or is he implying that he was out all the time, and never home? Of course the last line means that he thouught things were going well - that there were no more secrets. But obviously was wrong.
