I feel so close to you right now
It's a force field
I wear my heart upon my sleeve
Like a big deal
Your love pours down on me
Surround me like a waterfall
And there's no stopping us right now
I feel so close to you right now

(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)

I feel so close to you right now

(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)

I feel so close to you right now
It's a force field
I wear my heart upon my sleeve
Like a big deal

(Big deal, big deal, big deal, big deal)
(Big deal, big deal, big deal, big deal)
(Big deal, big deal, big deal, big deal)
(Big deal, big deal, big deal, big deal)

And there's no stopping us right now
And there's no stopping us right now
And there's no stopping us right now
I feel so close to you right now

Your love pours down on me
Surround me like a waterfall
And there's no stopping us right now
I feel so close to you right now

(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)

(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)
(Right now, right now, right now, right now)

    Song Meaning

I feel so close to you right now, it's a force field. I wear my heart upon my sleeve, like a big deal. Your love pours down on me surround me like a waterfall. And there's no stopping us right now, I feel so close to you right now.

The song is about being connected to a person - "I feel so close to YOU right now". The song is also about strength in numbers "...close to you.../it's a force field" - kinda about how if you know someone you can have the strength of being right for them, by doing right by them. Doing right by people makes some people feel great, like they can actually do something to make the world a better place. "I wear my heart upon my sleeve, like a big deal" is straight up an advertisement to people who want to be a big deal (to people) for connection - If you want to be a big deal, you gotta wear your heart on your sleeve and feel the moments you have with people ... "I feel so close to you right now..." etc,

I love that line : I wear my heart out on my sleeve like a big deal. I like the simplicity yet exquisiteness this song has.

Well a quick Wikipedia search doesn't show too much personal life... However the Bible specifically Song of Solomon has some pretty close lines to that in chapter 8:

"6 Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy[a] unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.[b] 7 Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away..."

now I don't know... and really doubt... but it really reminded me of this passage.

Christian artist named Misty Edwards has a good song based off this scripture too called Relentless.

I'll leave it link-less so the one's that are actually interested in her song might google it anyway and the ones that aren't won't be tempted and then not be into it ;)

    My Interpretation

This song is so simple yet so powerful. To be honest it sounds like they are intoxitcated and meeting each other for the first time in some club scence. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I very much like this song, and I listen to it repeatedly here at my desk at work while I bob my head and chair dance. So I don't mean this next bit to sound too critical, but...

What does "I feel so close to you right now, it's a force field" mean? Really it makes no sense, and despite internet searches, discussions with friends, and my own considerations, I can't figure out what the author of the line might mean. In science fiction (the only place a force field exists unless you're talking about magnetism or gravity) a force field is a kind of protective shell around something. How can being close to someone be analogous to a fictional energy-field that is mean to protect something from violent harm? And even if there is a logical interpretation, seems like a song lyric shouldn't take quite that much analysis to get a good meaning.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
