Nights I spend alone
I spend 'em runnin' 'round lookin' for you, baby
Nights I spend alone
I spend 'em runnin' 'round lookin' for you, baby

Lookin' for love
Lookin' for love
Lookin' for love
Lookin' for love

Nights I spend alone
I spend 'em runnin' 'round lookin' for you, baby
Nights I spend alone
I spend 'em runnin' 'round and 'round and 'round
And 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round
And down and down and down and down and down

Nights I spend alone
I spend 'em runnin' 'round lookin' for you, baby
Nights I spend alone
I spend 'em runnin' 'round lookin' for you, baby

Lookin' for love
Lookin' for love
Lookin' for love
Lookin' for love

'Cause there's something that I get for myself
And there's something that you give to me
Well, I got one without the other
Well, it's not enough to be - I need your love

Come in to my heart
Come in to my heart
Come in to my heart
My love
Come in to my heart
Come in to my heart
Come in to my heart
Oh, come in to my heart
Come in to my heart
Come in to my heart
My love

    Song Meaningsomeone mentioned:
"The song is called vomit because of Proverbs 26:11: "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness." "

My Interpretationhuge atmospheric ... I love the way the performance and production has turned a melancholy 4 lines of mantras (plus a bridge) into 6+ minutes of wonderful sound. For me the bible connection is wierd but cool and I see the structure ... we suffer, we repent, we suffer, we repent, we suffer, we repent, we hear the moral of the story? maybe? (bridge), and then our suffering is rewarded Hey Jude style with the long mellifluous end phase welcoming us into his heart. (all deep bollox I know) , anyway - cool tune!

General CommentChris explained the title "Vomit" in this interview, as well as the rest of the songs on the album: theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2011/09/the-story-behind-the-loveliest-rock-album-of-the-year-so-far/245138/

"It reminded me of this proverb I was told a lot as a kid: As a dog returns to his vomit, so does a fool return to his folly. You can be very aware of how crazy you’re being sometimes, and be very aware of how you’re not able to help yourself."

He had some more stuff to say about the song too...

General CommentIt seems to me that the whole song is describing "vomit". If the proverbs that he is quoting from is true, and a dog returns to his vomit, isn't there a sense in which the dog enjoys his vomit? In the same way, a human will return to his "vomit" not because he likes driving around all night looking for love (the first verse), but because he feels justified and selfless in admitting that he needs love ("Come into my heart"). But, that is the trap that keeps him going back for it. I think this song is showing a messed up view on love.
'Cause there's something that I get for myself
And there's something that you give to me
Well, I got one without the other
Well, it's not enough to be - I need your love
Seriously, this whole entire verse is about himself! Love isn't just about seeing how well off you are by yourself and then taking the rest from somebody else; it's about a mutual exchange between two persons who care for one another. To me, the purpose of this song is to show how humans go back to their "vomit", not because we are messed up and we like disgusting things, but because there are little bits of it that are good enough to keep us coming back for more.

"Cause there's something that I get FROM myself"

    and

    "and if I've got one
    without the other,
then it's not enough to be"
