I gotta say Honestly,
when you look at me,
it's like a gun goes off, deep inside of me.
I can hardly move,
I can barely breathe, near your features.

The trouble is,
It's just so obvious,
I still see all the lines, of surgery remnants.
Where you cut away,
left your flaws behind, in the ether.

Face of puzzle pieces.
That don't fit together.
Puzzle Pieces
That don't fit together.

Never right,
But you just can't move on.
You can't decide
Take away or put on.
Your design.
But you won't stop working.
A masterpiece
In the flesh, it's your puzzle.
It's your puzzle.
It's yours.

The doctor's hands,
carry out the plans,
to take you all apart and put you back again.
Your face is canvas,
and your own body serves, as your easle.

It's just so hard to quit,
when you're hooked on it,
you're just a junkie craving one more plastic fix.
keep you up to date,
with all the latest trends, of the seasons

Face of puzzle pieces.
That don't fit together.
Puzzle Pieces
That don't fit together.

Never right,
But you just can't move on.
You can't decide
Take away or put on.
Your design.
But you won't stop working.
A masterpiece
In the flesh, it's your puzzle.
It's your puzzle.
It's yours.

General CommentThere is one really mistake in the lyrics. It's "lies" not "lines". Listen to the song. I know lines makes more sense right then. I think he's hiding behind the plastic surgery idea.

I don't think he's talking about plastic surgery literally. The surgery he refers to was performed on him (metaphorically) by the other person. The person tore him up and letting go/moving on felt like extraction (surgery) or, as he goes on to explain, letting go of addiction. He fights w the temptation to not move on (never right but you can't move on) despite knowing it's wrong. The metaphor of puzzle pieces that don't fit together is the result of the lies because they are so obvious to him. Like when words don't line up w actions.. Puzzle pieces that don't fit together.

This idea is strongly supported by the rest of the album.

    :)

General CommentCatchy commentary on the striking(left open ended as either good or bad..), addicting, and unnatural after effects on the people that walk around parading plastic surgery. Clever lyrics.
