I want it all and nothing less
I want it all, I want the best for you
I'm telling you the truth
You are the one that makes it real
Even the sunlight doesn't feel this good
Whoever said it could?

Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast
Patience, patience gets us nowhere

I want it all and nothing less
I want it all, I want the best for us
I'm telling you to trust
The world you see is on our side
Take a chance and take a ride with me
From sea to shining sea

Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast
Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast
I don't want my patience to last

Follow me, follow me somewhere
Follow me, follow me somewhere
Follow me, follow me somewhere out there
Follow me, follow me somewhere
Follow me, follow me somewhere
Follow me, follow me somewhere out there

I want it all and nothing less
I want it all, I want the best for you
I'm telling you the truth
You are the kiss I don't expect
Remind me never to forget my youth
I'll leave it up to you

Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast
Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast
Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast
Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast

    My Interpretation

To sum it up, I believe this song is about someone who wants to take their relationship to the next level with a potential lover. However, the lover is hesitant and doesn’t want to jump into the relationship. The person is trying to reassure their potential lover that it’ll be okay, and that they have the support of everyone. They want to let them know that everything they’re doing is for this person. They tell their potential lover that waiting around to see what happens will do them no good and he doesn’t want to wait forever. However in the end, they don’t want to force them to do anything and will leave their relationship in their hands.

///I want it all and nothing less. I want it all, I want the best for you. I’m telling you the truth. You are the one that makes it real, even the sunlight doesn’t feel this good. Whoever said it could?///

-The singer is saying that he wants to be with his potential lover. He wants to confess that he wants to be with them no matter what. He doesn’t just want a part of them (could also be saying that he doesn’t want to be ‘just friends’ any more) but all of them. He believes that they’re the only person that can make him feel so good.

///Patience, Patience gets us nowhere fast///

-He is saying that he could wait forever, or that they could be waiting forever, but it doesn’t do them any good. Waiting only prolongs their relationship and prevents them from going anywhere.

///I want it all and nothing less. I want it all, I want the best for us. I’m telling you to trust.///

-His lover is probably hesitant of being with him. There is something holding them back — maybe some doubts. He wants to let them know that they can trust him.

///The world you see is on our side, take a chance and take a ride with me — from sea to shinning sea.///

-He wants to let his potential lover that they have the full support of the world and that they can conquer the world together as long as the potential lover is willing to take that chance with him.

///Patience, patience gets us nowhere fast. I don’t want my patience to last///

-It doesn’t do them any good to wait out on their relationship. He doesn’t want to wait any longer.

///You are the kiss I don’t expect. Remind me to never forget my youth. I’ll leave it up to you.///

-He probably feels as though that his potential lover is the only one for him and reminds him of all the good in life. However he doesn’t want to force them to do anything against their will and will leave their relationship up in their hands.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
