He's been erased but the sun is coming back to regulate all the tangles in the atmosphere.
He's running late, he's never gonna come back.
He's running late, he's never gonna come back here.

He's tied to the door but we sure loved what's inside.
There was nothing that could save him from these walls.

Speak now or swallow your tongue.

You're running out so quickly now.
(We've got another chance to make this right)
Did you lose yourself?
(Or we're just dead men.)

We tried so hard just to make believe.
We take to the seas like our ships won't sink, like we know...
It's quiet now.
(Did you lose control or were we too loud?)
We tried so hard just to make believe.
We take to the seas like our ships won't sink, like we know...
It's quiet now.

Do you feel alive when you dance with darkness?
No one can feel as high as he can now.

Speak now or swallow your tongue.

We were right, oh, oh, we were right.
We were right, oh, oh, we were right!
We were right, oh, oh, we were right!
We were right, oh, oh, we were right!
You were wrong so now we write.

We'll glue our fingers back together.
We'll glue our fingers back together.
We'll glue our fingers back together.
We'll glue our fingers back together.

We tried so hard just to make believe.
We take to the seas like our ships won't sink, like we know...
It's quiet now.
(Did you lose control or were we too loud?)
We tried so hard just to make believe.
We take to the seas like our ships won't sink, like we know...
It's quiet now.

It's quiet now!

Song MeaningWe all know people who have fallen into drugs or addictions of the sort. Most of us have friends who have been hurt or even killed because of these addictions. No one is perfect, and we all know this. But this song was written in hopes to open some eyes. Years ago a mutual friend of mine OD'd on oxycontin. I wouldn't claim to be a good friend of his because I barely even knew him, but compassion has no boundary. Near the end of his life, he was calling out for help, but no one heard his cry. No "friends" of his seemed to mind. Shortly after his death, a lot of his friends just went right back to using and abusing drugs. Not to pass judgement on anyone, but just be careful with the life you are given.
