Pack your bags, baby
We have to go back, let's go
It's summer paradise, oh-oh-oh-oh
Simple Plan, MKTO

My heart is sinking as I'm lifting up
Up above the clouds away from you
And I can't believe I'm leaving
Oh, I don't kno-kno-know what I'm gonna do
But someday, I will find my way back
To where your name is written in the sand
(Yeah, it was written in the sand)

'Cause I remember every sunset (that's right)
I remember every word you said (I remember)
We were never gonna say goodbye
Singing la-da-da-da-da
Tell me how to get back to (yeah)
Back to summer paradise with you
And I'll be there in a heartbeat (yeah, and we'll be there)
Oh-oh (yeah) (oh-oh, oh-oh)
I'll be there in a heartbeat (yeah, and we'll be there)
Oh-oh (oh-oh, oh-oh) (say what?)

My soul is broken, streets are frozen
I can't stop these feelings melting through
(I can't stop these feelings melting through)
And I'd give away a thousand days, oh
Just to have another one with you (with you, yeah)
Well, real life can wait (hey, if time stands still)
We're crashing like waves (crashing like waves)
We're playing in the sand (that's how I do it, girl)
Holding your hand ('cause I remember, I remember, like)

'Cause I remember every sunset (I remember)
I remember every word you said
We were never gonna say goodbye (don't cry)
Singing la-da-da-da-da
Tell me how to get back to
Back to summer paradise with you (summer paradise)
And I'll be there in a heartbeat (yeah, and we'll be there)
Oh-oh (oh-oh, oh-oh) (what?)
I'll be there in a heartbeat (yeah, and we'll be there)
Oh-oh

Yeah, love, ha (oh-oh, oh-oh)
If I could be with you then, baby
We could do what the heart wants
Smiling on a desert island
Baby, let's get so lost (so lost)
Beads are in the heartbeat
Kiss realities goodbye (goodbye)
Girl, you get me high
Underneath the palm trees in the sky
That's fly
Like every day's a holiday, a summer paradise
I'm smashing down the highway
Following the stars for light
A Simple Plan for life is what you make it
The memories of you and me are ours
For the taking (ours for the taking)

Someday, I will find my way back
To where your name is written in the sand
(It's written in the sand)
(We'll be forever, baby)

'Cause I remember every sunset (I remember)
I remember every word you said
We were never gonna say goodbye (why say goodbye?)
Singing la-da-da-da-da
Tell me how to get back to (how to get back)
Back to summer paradise with you
And I'll be there in a heartbeat
I remember when we first kissed (woo)
And how I didn't wanna leave your lips
And how I've never ever felt so high (so high)
Singing la-da-da-da-da
Tell me how to get back to (yeah)
Back to summer paradise with you (hey)
And I'll be there in a heartbeat (yeah, and we'll be there)
Oh-oh (yeah) (oh-oh, oh-oh)
And I'll be there in a heartbeat (yeah, and we'll be there)
Oh-oh (oh-oh, oh-oh) (summer paradise, baby)
I'll be there in a heartbeat (believe that)

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
