Hello?
I'm out right now
Just, just been drinking with Jack
What are you doing? I miss you
You wanna come over?
Who you with? Hello?

I've been up three days
Adderall and Red Bull
This call is a mistake
There's something strong in this water bottle
I hear you got a new chick
A dancing little Barbie doll
I feel so pathetic
But you still haven't heard it all

Fuck that new girl that you like so bad
She's not crazy like me, I bet you like that
I said, fuck that new girl that's been in your bed
And when you're in her I know I'm in your head
(Are you drunk right now?)
I'm just saying, you can do better
Always turned you out every time we were together
(You know I didn't mean that)
Once you had the best, boy, you can't do better
(You should come over, what are you doing?)
Baby, I'm the best, so you can't do better

Oh, oh, whoa
(Right)

I ran into your homeboys
They're all fucking idiots
You're not even my boyfriend
But they're trippin' 'cause I'm in the club
Yeah, that's right, I'm dancing
And something cool is in my cup
I'ma send a sexy picture
To remind you what you've given up

Fuck that new girl that you like so bad
She's not crazy like me, I bet you like that
I said, fuck that new girl that's been in your bed
And when you're in her I know I'm in your head
(Right)
I mean, I'm just saying, you can do better
Always turned you out every time we were together
Once you had the best, boy, you can't do better
Baby, I'm the best, so you can't do better

(Baby, I'm the best, so you can't do better)
No, you can't do better
Oh, oh
Na-na-na-na-na-na, right, yeah
Oh, mm
(Right)

"I was drawn by the boldness and honesty of Drake's lyrics," JoJo said. "If something speaks to me, I get the itch to take a stab at it.

I think her cover of Drake's song is a nice female perspective of bittersweet heartache.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
