"We Could Fall In Love Again Tonight" as written by and David Gray....
Could stay here forever
Where echoes return
There's glory to gather
There's money to burn
But I just can't help from thinking
If I had you by my side
That we could fall in love again tonight

What kind of existence?
To want you so much
And only feel the distance
Each time when we touch
Been a lot of water flowing
Honey we could just let it slide
Then we can fall in love again tonight

I'll be there in a minute
So just you sit tight
Then we can fall in love again
We can fall in love again
We can fall in love again
Again
Again
Tonight
Tonight
Tonight
Tonight

General CommentThere's nothing wrong with the lyrics, but in my mind, it's always made more sense when I hear
"Been a lot of water flowing, Honey we could just let it slide"
    and interpret it as
"There'd be a lot of water flowing, if we could just, let thing slide"
    Just beautiful imagery nonetheless.

General CommentI just heard this song for the first time and it literally caused me to open a songmeanings.net account just so I could comment on it. I have been using this site for years, but never until now have I created an account.

This song speaks a lot to me because its pretty much the exact situation I am in. My boyfriend broke up with me but is not moving out of the apartment we share for 25 more days so I have had to share space with someone that I am completely still in love with and can't move on from. There is so much distance between us and each time that we touch I feel it. This song is AMAZING! I only hope that my ex gives me the chance to fall in love all over again...
