I don't know what anything means.
I think I've forgotten how to sleep,
and I'm not the only one.

I will break my spine on the page,
like the books that will up my grave.

I am entombed in my bed
with those words that you said, that I kept :

that I'm not the only one
that you've never loved.

boo, hoo.

Song MeaningIt's obvious what this song is about if you know anything about Dan Corey and the Giles Corey project. Dan Barrett was experiencing severe depression, and in that depression "buried" himself in books looking for a reason to live. Depression can often leave you feeling like you're tired, or lethargic but unable to sleep, which would explain the first few lines. The rest of the song is also fairly obvious, a failed love affair with a woman who didn't care for him.
