Ready for another remedy
Maybe not as good as used to be
I will be back tomorrow

Moments stalling for my destiny
Ready for another remedy
I'm not myself today

Making a scene in the pouring rain
Doesn't make a difference cause I've had enough
And all the things I need to say
Never make it out cause I've had enough
And everything I do today
Nothing gets done cause it's not enough
And I've had enough of everything
Tried to make it right and I'm wrong again
I'm afraid of everything
Everything's out cause I've had enough
And I don't believe in anything
Doesn't really matter cause I've had enough
And everything I do today
Fades away

Going nowhere with your strategy
Sit down, relapse, relax you got nowhere to be
I'm longing for another

Running from another side of me
Maybe not as good as it used to be
I'm not myself today

Making a scene in the pouring rain
Doesn't make a difference cause I've had enough
And all the things I need to say
Never make it out cause I've had enough
And everything I do today
Nothing gets done cause it's not enough
And I've had enough of everything
Tried to make it right and I'm wrong again
I'm afraid of everything
Everything's out cause I've had enough
And I don't believe in anything
Doesn't really matter cause I've had enough
And everything I do today
Everything I do, it fades away

General CommentI don’t interpret this song as being about mental illness at all. When I listen to it I feel many of the lyrics apply to my own life and feelings and parts of the lyrics could apply to many normal people . I see it as someone paralyzed by anxiety. The remedy could suggest a way to escape from a temporarily unsatisfied and anxious life. I think the remedy could be a new love, a new passion, or in the absence of the finding of such a new hope, using a coping remedy to escape an unsatisfied reality such as drugs or alcohol. All of these avenues allow one to become another version of yourself, for better or worse. In terms of the remedy being not as good as it used to be, maybe that references drug tolerance, or maybe finding new love that doesn’t match the level of a past love. In general I get the sense that the person is fed up, exasperated and discontent with the way things are and harbors a feeling of isolation, helplessness and hopelessness of moving on with life. Not believing in anything might reference love, or hope, or even god. And everything one does, all the toil one experiences, the loves lost, the pain, the anxiety over responsibilities ends up fading away in the end, and to little consequence which can make one feel like not even trying because engaging those things is like harming one’s self voluntarily. The sense I get is the person is fighting two different extremes: seeking out life, passion, relationships, as well as facing anxieties, failures or choosing avoidance of further pain, failure and anxiety at the cost of living life to the fullest. And as far as I can tell, the avoidance side is winning out, but that doesn’t mean he’s depressed. We all feel some of these inadequacies, fears, anxieties and exhaustion with life at certain points, but as is stated early on “I will be back tomorrow”. So I don’t feel that darkness will win out ultimately, but we all struggle with and face the challenges of life, and that is the message that comes through for me when I hear this song. That is, sometimes we are fed up and need to tune out the world and then start fresh and face the world anew the next day.

General CommentThis is a beautiful song and I interpreted it in a very personal way. To me, this song is about a person suffering from a mental illness having an off day.

The line talking about moments stalling for his destiny could be referring to just waiting for the depression to end so that he can start living again.
The remedy talked about could be the medicine that helps, but not always. The song's character longs for a new remedy/strategy, or in other words a new way to cope that actually works. He's just relapsing, as he says, back into a depressive state.
The song has many lines related to how this day he's not himself and there's another side of him - the mentally ill side.
Anxiety, a common symptom, makes him afraid of everything, and unable to say the things he wants. He also feels like everything he does on days like this are worthless/ "not enough."
By saying he "doesn't believe in anything" he means he's lost hope for feeling better.
Also, I think this is kind of obvious, but if you're dealing with depression, you've definitely had enough of dealing with everything and anything.

That said, I don't know if that meaning was Cortini's intent with the song, but it's very clear to me that meaning.

General CommentSoo many good tracks on both Red and Blue.
But its been decided that this requires the obligatory post on the 'single' track.
    Which is amazing.
