Wake up at 7am, stay in bed until 10.
Been almost two months now since you slept in,
but you've got the day off from work today.
Too many things to do today.

Like shave and shower,
use sprays and powders.
Make yourself breakfast and just sit for an hour.
Think of all the roads that lead away from home
if you'd just take them once in awhile.

Sit in your apartment alone,
keep the lights down low.
Don't you dare answer your phone.
You know it's work calling you, wanting you to fill in.
Everyone is sick again.

But you've got the day off from work today.
Too many things to do today.

Cancel tour. Stay in town. Gain 10 pounds.
Waste your life worrying while still sticking around.
Hate your job, but never quit. Let yourself feel like shit.
Make a list of everyone you're losing touch with.

Hit the gym, hang with Erin and Kim.
Visit your parents, pay off debts. You have to make rent.
Listen to your records, screaming "This should be me!"
Try to make connections kid, because your youth is fleeting.

These days it seems like if I'm not working,
then I'm probably drinking or dreaming of you.
These days it seems like I can't do anything
except write stupid songs about you.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
