"Good Man Down" as written by and Ivo Etti Erki Paernoja....
Here is a story about a boy and a girl
She woke up one morning felt alone in this world
Despite the love for her, he couldn't keep her from leaving again
She had to do it.

She cried in a night
He brought her flowers in the daytime
She tried and she tried to forget the past and all her past crimes
Despite the love for her, he couldn't keep her from leaving again
She had to do it.

How could you shoot a good man down?
Leave without mourning
Brokenhearted on the ground
Like the others before him
A burden heavy as a rock
ain't nobody gonna stop her
Go ahead and walk alone
and regret it some-else-where

He cried in a night
She got no flowers in the daytime
He gave up the fight while she was out comitting new crimes
Despite the love for her, he couldn't keep her from leaving again
She had to do it.

How could you shoot a good man down?
Leave without mourning
Brokenhearted on the ground
Like the others before him
A burden heavy as a rock
ain't nobody gonna stop her
Go ahead and walk alone
and regret it some-else-where

A burden heavy as a rock
ain't nobody gonna stop her
Go ahead and walk alone
and regret it some-else-where

How could you leave without mourning?
I'm like the others before me.

My InterpretationThis is my personal favorite of the album with a great rhythm throughout the whole song.
I think it is a, as obvious, a story about a girl that always has to be running in life and can't calm and settle down with the guy, who is really doing his best, but somehow doesn't really see her deep problem, so that he could manage to fix it.
    "She cried in a night
He brought her flowers in the daytime"
No one really understands the other one. But in the end as it all breaks apart he is the one who is brokenhearted and down while she is not ready to become conscious of her fault ("Go ahead and walk alone
and regret it some-else-where"). She keeps on and he is struggling though he didn't really do something wrong.
One interesting aspect here is the change into the the ego-perspective in the chorus calling her "You" and especially the last line. The poet comes to realize that he just wrote down his own story which gives all this a very personal and even more emotional touch.

General CommentPerhaps I'm hearing the song all wrong but when I listen to it I don't hear "Leave without mourning." I hear "Leave without warning."
