"Spidey's Curse" as written by Cole Alexander, Joseph Bradley, Ian St. Pe Brown and Jared Swilley....
Peter Parker's life is so much darker than the book I read
'Cause he was defenseless, so defenseless when he was a kid
It's your body, no one's body, but your's anyways
So Peter Parker don't let him mark ya, it's so much darker
Don't let him touch ya, he don't have to stay!
Don't fill a spider up with dread

Spidey's got powers, he takes all of the cowards
And he kills them dead
But when he was younger, an elder among him messed him in the head
So Peter Parker don't let him mark ya, it's so much darker
Don't let him touch ya, he don't have to stay!

The teacher looked at everyone with a PSA
She saw that our hearts were gone
She saw that in everyone!

Peter Parker's life is so much darker
Better tell him, man
'Cause it's your body, no one's body, but your's anyway

So Peter Parker don't him mark ya, it's so much darker
Don't let him touch ya, he don't have to stay!
Don't fill a spider up with dread
Don't fill a spider up with dread
Don't fill a spider up with dread

(Dude, they are conjuring up those demons
Basically, they're taking spells out of that book
Or they are taking demons out of that book and working it
Into a song that basically conjures up these demons, man
Oh dude, it's way insane. Dude, trip out on this!)

Song MeaningI once interviewed Cole and we had a chat about Spiderman and Batman. He explained the song as followed:

"In theory I prefer Spiderman. We wrote a song about him for the new album. We show his dark side, like it was done with Batman in the film The Dark Knight. When we were kids, we got this comic at school about Spiderman for our sex ed class. It wasn't sold anywhere, but was specifically written for nine-year-olds in elementary school. In this comic Spiderman narrated about how he was molested as a child and tried to prevent it for the children of the future. That's what the song is about, because it was really a said day for us when we read that story. You know, we were young and Spiderman was our hero. And then you realize that the world is actually fucked up. The number is called 'Spidey's Curse' and it'll be on Arabia Mountain."

    There you go.

General CommentPlease, all who read. Do not try and think too hard about this song.
Regardless, I think a song about Spiderman getting molested as a child is so fucking cool, as this album. Most definitely one of my FAVORITE bands!

General CommentThe song is actually about a sex education booklet they got in school when they were like 12. Spider Man was used to teach them about sex ed.

My InterpretationI think that they are regretting that Spiderman is so tortured right now in the comics -well in fact i think it is like that from the very beginning-.
They blame the elder "But when he was younger, an elder among him messed him in the head", probably uncle Ben, for making Peter Parker so responsible that cannot be happy.

They claim liberty for Peter Parker, so he can be happy and use his body as he wants, not to be forced to use it to save the world because, as Ben said, "a great power means great responsability". They want Parker not to feel guilty, because uncle Ben is gone.

General CommentLove this song. The idea that little Peter has a dark history like that is cool. Thats a movie I'd go to see!

Anyway, anybody know what the funny ending dialogue is from?
