Rainy days, rainy days, won't you go away
(I said) I don't know why, don't know why, I've been this feeling this way
(And I) Look in the mirror, I don't like what I see
(And I) Don't like the person staring right back at me
(But I) Gotta get myself together before I get weak

It's okay, show them who you are
Everybody hurts, everybody's got scars
It's okay, standing in the dark
Shine a little light from the hole in my, hole in my heart

Cloudy days, cloudy days, they are here to stay
I don't know why, don't know why, I've been this feeling this way
(And I) Can't stand the way everyone is looking at me
(So I) Keep my head down and I pray that no one can see
The tears I cry, yeah these tears I hide, so you don't see the pain in me

It's okay, show them who you are
Everybody hurts, everybody's got scars
It's okay, standing in the dark
Shine a little light from the hole in my heart
Shine a little light from the hole in my heart
Shine a little light from the hole in my, hole in my heart

I am thunder, I am rain
I will set you free from the hurricane
Through the fire and the flames
Yeah, we all get burned and we burn through the pain, yeah

I will help you through
You know I, I, I will be the light for you

It's okay, show them who you are
Everybody hurts, everybody's got scars
It's okay, standing in the dark
Shine a little light from the hole in my heart

Oo, don't let them break you down
Don't let them tear you down, yeah
It's like a hole in my heart
Don't let them break you down
Don't let them tear you down, yeah
Just like a hole in my heart

    My Opinion

"There's so many things that I could say, But I'm sure it would come out all wrong" - He wants to say so much to her, but he doesn't know how to say it... "You got something that I can't explain, Still try and try and let you know" - She's got so much "awesomeness"... too much for him to explain or it's something so awesome he can't explain it... but he still tries to let her know... "That first summer we spent's one we'll never forget" - The first Summer they spent together, he'll never forget... "Looking for any kind of reason to escape all the mess that, We thought was what made us, Ain't it funny now? We can see, We're who we're meant to be" - They looking for away to escape the people they say their relationship won't work, and he's saying that it's funny how they never realized before that they were meant to be together because of all the people saying it wouldn't work... "You still have all my heart" - .... (exactly what it says) "There's too many times I have to say, I could have been better and stronger for you and me" - There's so many times he's wanted to say that he could have been better and stronger for them both... "You always make me feel okay, Those late summers we spent, stay up talking all night" - (Exactly what it says) "I'd ask "you think we'd ever make it?" You'd say "I'm sure if it's right" - He would ask her if she thinks the relationship would work, and she says She's sure it would.... "Ain't it funny to think just how stupid I used to be, Hope you always believe" - He's saying how stupid he was for never finding her before (I think)... "Let them talk and talk and talk, Let them say what they want" - He's referring to the people who said their relationship would never work... "We will laugh at the thought they don't know what we've got" - He's saying they will laugh at all the people who doubt them, they don't know what they've got... "Every year that goes by, a year older we are, You'll still be beautiful then, bless your beautiful heart" (exactly what it says) "They'll talk and talk and talk, How crazy is it? Someone could waste their whole life, helplessly, Just patiently waiting for a love like you and me" - The people will talk about them and doubt them, they wasting their lives by doing that.... "I've been waiting my whole life For someone to save me still can't believe that you're mine, You still have all of my heart" He's been waiting is whole life for her, and he can't believe he finally found her....

She still has all of his heart <3

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
