"Where You Are" as written by and Eleanor Blake Hazard....
Outside my window reverse the rain drops
They'll run together like the Nile to the sea
As I wait for sunrise I'm worlds away
But all the continents dividing couldn't take you
from me

And I want you here so close to me
Even if my mind's wandering
I can never stay in one place long
But where you are's where I belong

Tried to remember where it was you said you'd go
You closed your eyes and pointed a finger at the spinning globe

And I want you here so close to me
Even when my mind's wandering
I can never stay in one place long
But where you are's where I belong

Will I ever tire of all these expeditions into
The unknown
When I could be lying here beside you with
No place to go

Yeah I want you here so close to me
Even if my mind's wandering
I could never stay in one place long
But where you are's where I belong

Oh I want you here so close to me
(no place to go)
I can never stay in one place long
But where you are's where I belong

My InterpretationBlake and John have talked about the long leadup to their relationship- how it developed from a professional one into something incredibly personal. It ended (at first) ironically when they both moved to the same area.

I'm guessing these lyrics reflect the questioning they each did- wondering why they were so drawn together but when they were together they felt compelled to wander off and create distance between one another.

Of course, they're together now (2014) and hopefully that will continue.... which is where the lyrics lead I believe.

Lovely song, as is most everything the pair produce.
