I can't trust anyone or anything these days
If you are who you say you are then show your face
Came out of the ocean like you came out of a dream
Your voice it sounds familiar but you are not what you seem

All words of comfort can not take away my doubt
I've decided if it kills me I'll find out what you're about
I can't trust anyone or anything these days

But I know what you want and why
Of all the strangers you're the strangest that I see
I'm not afraid to die
I can't trust anyone or anything these days

You are not the one you say you are
You are not the one you say you are

I can't trust anyone or anything these days
If you are who you say you are then show me your face
Know enough to say you are not what you claim to be
I've kept close watch upon you and I don't like what I see

Can't escape the feeling that you'll get me in the night
I'll sleep with one eye open, and I'm not afraid to fight
I can't trust anyone or anything these days

But I know what you want and why
Of all the strangers you're the strangest that I see
I'm not afraid to die

I can't trust anyone or anything these days
Know what you want and why
Of all the strangers your the strangest that I see
I'm not afraid to die

I can't trust anyone no anything these days

You are not the one you say you are
You are not the one you say you are

You are not the one you say you are
You are not the one you say you are

Now that I've seen your face I'm haunted by the letters of your name
Now that I've seen your face I'm haunted by the letters of your name
Now that I've seen your face I'm haunted by the letters of your name
Now that I've seen your face I'm haunted by the letters of your name

    Song Meaning

To me the song is about a man who has been cheated on before or has been betrayed 'I can't trust anyone or anything these days'. As a result of this the man feels like he can't trust anything or anyone around him, maybe even his closest friends. When he says 'Your voice it sounds familiar but you are not what you seem' I think he is referring to the fact that he has met a new lover and that she sounds similar to his previous girl, causing him to have doubt as to whether she will remain faithful. 'All words of comfort can not take away my doubt, I've decided if it kills me I'll find out what you're about' with this lyric I think the artist is implying that no matter how many times she says she will not betray him, he cannot stop wondering whether she will or will not, so as a result he intends to find out. Then after investigating 'I've kept close watch upon you' the man becomes even more paranoid about her cheating and starts to fabricate thoughts that she has cheated 'and I don't like what I see'. I personally believe that the girl hasn't cheated, just the man's paranoia has corrupted his logical thought process. So he breaks up with her claiming that he still cannot trust anyone. Then at the end of the song which could be some time after the break up, I think that the man realises that he was wrong and as a result, he is haunted about the mistake he made by breaking up with the girl. He therefore thinks of this mistake and the girl every time he hears or sees her name written 'Now that I've seen your face I'm haunted by the letters of your name'.

I think for my interpretation is he is having a connection with someone. It's like a strong, or destined connection wherein the line he says "Came out of the ocean like you came out of a dream". But because of his past maybe his guard is up that's why he doesn't trust this stranger. In this line "All words of comfort can not take away my doubt, I've decided if it kills me I'll find out what you're about" and "Can't escape the feeling that you'll get me in the night"

This "stranger" is haunting him perhaps a soulmate. He wants to get to know this person despite the red flags and feelings or fears of the unknown, he knows if he gets to know this stranger it might actually kill him, but he's going to risk it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
