"Getaway" as written by and Ryan Guldemond....
In a dream, on a wave
I could tunnel underground or I could float away
From it all, on a holiday
Bon voyage
I want to get away from what I know

I could shoot into the sun
I could be the bullet of a gatling gun
Disappear, another Dillinger on the run
I want to get away from everything and everyone

We gotta get away from it all
We gotta get away from everything we've grown to know
We gotta get gone
Like on a holiday, but for longer
Away from all the silly things that haunt us

I could explode
Oh, what I'd give to be a super nova
Oh, if I could be blown to bits
I would, yeah

We gotta get away from it all
We gotta get away from everything we've grown to know
We gotta get gone
Like on a holiday, but for longer
Away from all the silly things that haunt us

And when you run from it, darling
Baby, would you think about taking me?

We gotta get away from it all
We gotta get away from it all
We gotta get away from it all
We gotta get away from it all

Song MeaningI think it means something about suicide, with this appealing "getaway" being how they get away from life.

"Oh what I'd give to be a supernova
Oh, if I could be blown to bitsI would
    Yeah"

I played this on the piano today and I almost started crying.

    My InterpretationAbsolutely love this song.
It perfectly describes that little space between the rock and the hard place. When work sucks, or you're going through a bad breakup, having money problems, and you feel like you've got no one you can depend on or turn to.
To me, it describes that that feeling of not being able to possibly handle the things that life is throwing at you. The only solution is to pack up your bags and leave everything behind. You know it's not logical solution to your problems, but it's the only thing that provides you with hope. Sometimes, when you're feeling down, the prospect of starting a new life somewhere far far away is so appealing...
"Like on a holiday, but for longer - away from all the silly things that harm us" UGH. lyrical perfection..
