"I Feel You" as written by and Sam Lewis Roberts....
All or nothing, love is war
Take everything, want more
Ebb and flow, steady beat
No surrender, no retreat
All or nothing, love is war
Remember who you're fighting for
Never get what you came for
I feel you, life is short

All or nothing, love is war
Take everything, want more
Ebb and flow, steady beat
No surrender, no retreat
All or nothing, love is war
Remember who you're fighting for
Never get what you came for
I feel you, life is short

Been walking straight, been walking narrow
Shot through the eye by cupid's arrow
Don't know if I've seen the real you but I feel you
Yeah I feel you

Chaos rains in Atlantis
roaming the sea
Like some Preying Mantis
she got eyes for me
You're waiting for someone to reveal you but I feel you
Yeah I feel you

All or nothing, love is war
Take everything, you want some more
All or nothing, love is war
Remember who you're fighting for

Now you spurred my advances
like some beggar on fire
Say you're not taking chances,
I'm a fool and a liar
You think this fog will conceal you but I feel you
Yeah I feel you

Last night I dreamt that Leonard Cohen
Handed me a bag of money
See my Achilles Heel was showing
But I didn't find it funny
He said "Beware of those who might steal from you" But I feel you
Yeah I feel you

All or nothing, love is war
Take everything, you want some more
All or nothing, love is war
Remember who you're fighting for

I gave you anything you want
No pretending, no more
It's all or nothing, this is war

I gave you anything you want
No pretending, no more
It's all or nothing, this is war

All or nothing, love is war
Take everything, you want some more
All or nothing, love is war
Remember who you're fighting for

General CommentAmazing song! I Feel You almost sounds like it was written during the Chemical City sessions, doesn't it?

General CommentI think Sam looks upon Leonard as an idol. He was a famous singer-songwriter, musican, poet, and novelist. I also found this excerpt from Wikipedia that might explain the reference that you were inquiring about :

    2005 bankruptcy

"On 8 October 2005, Cohen alleged that his longtime former manager, Kelley Lynch, misappropriated over US $5 million from Cohen's retirement fund leaving only $150,000.[36] Cohen was sued in turn by other former business associates.[36] These events placed him in the public spotlight, including a cover feature on him with the headline "Devastated!" in Canada's Maclean's magazine.[37] In March 2006, Cohen won the civil suit and was awarded US $9 million by a Los Angeles County superior court. Lynch, however, ignored the suit and did not respond to a subpoena issued for her financial records.[38] As a result it has been widely reported that Cohen may never be able to collect the awarded amount.[39] In 2007, U.S. District Judge Lewis T. Babcock dismissed a claim by Cohen for more than US $4.5 million against Colorado investment firm Agile Group, and in 2008 he dismissed a defamation suit that Agile Group filed against Cohen.[40] Cohen has been under new management since April 2005."

The line, 'Beware of those who might steal from you', makes sense given the financial loss Leonard sustained at the hands of his former manager......5 million US dollars is a lot to have taken from you, even by today's standards.
