"Stumbling" as written by James Jiro Fukai, Kevin Lee Palmer and Jason Van Singleton....
Say your last goodbyes
And she stops and she waits cause she needs you
And your failing eyes to get her through the night
You still remember the way she looked at you
And smiled right through a lie
She was turning to say goodbye

And I feel so far away from
As I stumble over you
I felt so far away
But this is the chance we waited for
And I feel so far away from
As I stumble over you
Stumble over

Another thousand miles
And you stop and you wait cause you need her
And her failing eyes to get you through the night
Will she remember and every word you said
True words will make it right
As you were turning to say goodbye

And I feel so far away from
As I stumble over you
I felt so far away
But this is the chance we waited for
And I feel so far away from
As I stumble over you
Stumble over

This is the chance we waited for
This is the chance we waited for

Settle down and lock the doors and turn out all the lights
You close your eyes and fall asleep

You're closing the door when she needs you
And I feel so far away from
She's moving the floor that's beneath you
As I stumble over you
You're closing the door when she needs you
And she's moving the floor that's beneath you constantly
But you're not close enough to her
(As I stumble over you)

General CommentTo me this song is so meaningful and can relate to so many relationships. It basically tells a story of 2 people who at one point were truly in love. Yet, as time passes by, the distance in their love and life seems too big now. They both try and attempt to escape one another, but every time one of them tries to leave, they end up "stumbling" over each other. As soon they get farther away from each other something always makes them fall and stumble, and they end up not leaving and being chained to the relationship. It seems fate has chosen them to be together but neither of them want to be with each other anymore. At the end of the song, they stop running from one another and learn to deal with the fact that they are forever bind to one another... whether they like it or not. They live together, but it seems as if they are living 2 separate lives under one home. Forever, the mask of their relationship is on full view now...
