Said you're gonna be here in a minute
Sitting in the mirror, getting pretty
Gotta look my best if we gonna break up
Gotta look my best if we gonna break up
I can hear you knocking at the front door
And I know exactly what you came for
Trying to say goodbye but it's hot and heavy
Trying to say goodbye but it's hot and heavy

You
Touch me and it's breaking me down
And me down, and me down, and me down
I'm telling you, let's just give it up
And get down, and get down, and get down

So come on
Won't you give me something to remember?
Baby, shut your mouth and turn me inside out
Even though we couldn't last forever
Baby, you know what I want right now

Hit me one more time, it's so amazing
How you shook my world and flipped it upside down
You're the only one who ever drove me crazy
'Cause you know me inside out
Inside out

I know that we probably shouldn't do this
Wake up in the morning feeling stupid
Said that we were done but you're all up on me
Said that we were done but you're all up on me
Tell me how we got in this position
Guess I gotta get you out my system
Trying to let you go but it's not that easy
Trying to let you go but it's not that easy

You
Touch me and it's breaking me down,
And me down, and me down, and me down
I'm telling you, let's just give it up
And get down, and get down, and get down

So come on
Won't you give me something to remember?
Baby, shut your mouth and turn me inside out
Even though we couldn't last forever
Baby, you know what I want right now

Hit me one more time, it's so amazing
How you shook my world and flipped it upside down
You're the only one who ever drove me crazy
'Cause you know me inside out
Inside out, inside out

So come on
Won't you give me something to remember?
Baby, shut your mouth and turn me inside out
Even though we couldn't last forever
Baby, you know what I want right now

Hit me one more time, it's so amazing
How you shook my world and flipped it upside down
You're the only one who ever drove me crazy
'Cause you know me inside out

This has two references to her early work with Max Martin...Baby One More Time and Drive me Crazy. Pretty good song

    My Interpretation

    ~~ Here is my interpretation.

"Said you're gonna be here in a minute Sitting in the mirror, getting pretty Gotta look my best if we're gonna break up Gotta look my best if we're gonna break up"

~~ This opening part is about a person who is ready to stop the evil inside them; to set things straight with themselves once and for all if you will, such as facing a bad habit of drinking alcohol. The first thing to stop a bad habit is to acknowledge it. The first line is anticipating the craving for the habit. They wait because they know that they will crave sooner or later.

"I can hear you knocking at the front door And I know exactly what you came for Try to say goodbye but it's hot and heavy Try to say goodbye but it's hot and heavy"

~~ The craving has arrived. And they know what will happen because this has occurred too many times before. They've acknowledge that this bad habit/craving (alcohol) has to stop. However, no craving goes away without a fight.

"You touch me and it's breaking me down Me down, me down, me down I'm telling you, let's just give it up and get down And get down, and get down"

~~ The craving is just too powerful and they're on the verge of giving down. Past recollections about the habit are repeated in the same way the lyrics are repeated. After holding off the addiction/habit for a while, the urge is just too powerful and they give in to their cravings.

"I know that we probably shouldn't do this Wake up in the morning feeling stupid Said that we were done but you're all up on me Said that we were done but you're all up on me"

~~ This person fighting the habit knows fully well that it is a bad habit that needs to be badly terminated. They will regret it later if they give in, but alcohol is always there. Tempting you with its luxuriousness.

"Tell me how we got in this position Guess I've gotta get you out my system Try to let you go but it's not that easy Try to let you go but it's not that easy"

~~ The addiction is a big problem that this person desperately wants to get rid of. They're unaware how it got this bad. It has become deeply ingrained in their brain now that choosing to stop it is very difficult.

"So c'mon Won't you give me something to remember? Baby, shut your mouth and turn me inside out Even though we couldn't last forever Baby, you know what I want right now Hit me one more time, it's so amazing How you shook my world and flipped it upside down You're the only one who ever drove me crazy 'Cause you know me inside out"

~~ During the chorus is when things go a bit...untamed. The high is kicking in from the addiction and there is a brief moment of numbness going on. The feeling is so good that the person wants to remember this forever. However all good things must come to an end. This person is talking to the addiction within them and commanding them to "hit" them one last time. However as this high dies down they realize that the addiction itself is their weakness that knows them "inside out."

I think this song is just about how toxic yet irresistible certain people can be. You know they aren't good for you in the long run, but they complement a darker side of you and allow you to be exactly who you are. You know you should leave them, but you're resistant because you want them so badly.

I think it's about how would you like to have a last hug, kiss, etc... before you let someone go forever, the need to get over someone you know you're so into... it's about to say goodbye in a way you won't forget, basically

I know I've been in this situation before!

It can be very difficult to break up with someone you're incredibly attracted to.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
