"Caught by the Light" as written by and Adam Harrison Piers John Towler Hewitt....
Caught by the light aware but asleep
Never as close as the friends that you keep
Drifting away on one final breath
The further you climb, calm silhouette

And takes you along, long, long, long
And takes you along, long, long, long

Far from a world ailing to live
Far from the wreckage you were left in

And the crossing is over where the righteous remain
In the memory it's deeper, survived by a name
The rest is sufficient, a midnight complaint
Left waiting in silence, left only to sleep

It takes you along, long, long, long
And takes you along

General Commentwhen I listen to this I just think of what its like after death.
the further you climb a calm silhouette I just picture someone just drifting up into the light they aren't scared or anything... only calm, as one would be if they were asleep. I don't know I could be wrong but that's what I get from this. and the tempo and guitar riff kind of contribute to this meaning. its like a journey to your afterlife and your caught up in this light that's going to lead you, alone. its a beautiful song and its makes death seem peaceful and welcoming... beautiful song

My InterpretationSong speaks about crossing to another world, that awaits you.
First part tells you that you will be conscious (aware) but dead (asleep). You will climb the light but never reach it (light is just something that carries you), you are referred to as a silhouette (something that is surrounded by light).
Second part, light takes you along (light carries you).
Third part tells that you are no longer in the world you lived in, nor in the body you had.
Fourth part describes the crossing where the final destination is the heaven, only thing that survives the crossing is your name (soul). This part also mentions the rest of you (your body), that is left only to sleep (to remain dead).
Fifth part is same as the second.
And that is my interpretation. Beautiful, powerful and very underrated song.
