"O, Evelyn..." as written by and Michael Kinsella....
all that I need is to know that I'll know you when you're older
O, Evelyn don't shy away from the cameras and don't die before i do

and all that I need is to know that I'll know you when you're older
O, Evelyn don't waste no time feeling sorry and don't lie down with salesmen

baby I'm feeling old
the hairs on my bones are turning grey
though my skin once lived only blisters remain

all that I need is to know that I'll know you when you're older
O, Evelyn don't shyness define you.
you're a queen amongst liberties

Lyric CorrectionI think its "you're a queen amongst libertines".

I get the feeling this song could be about his daughter, rather than a lover.
...Not sure if he even has a daughter.
In this case, Evelyn as a libertine would imply the innocence and cruel honesty of youth.
