"Mine Smell Like Honey" as written by and Peter Lawrence/mills Buck....
I would dare you, but I know I don't need to
You're going to do just what you want to
You're going to take the leading chair at the fairground
You're going to sing the praises of your fruit

Mine smell like honey, uh!
Mine smell like honey, uh!
Mine smell like hu- hu- hu- hu- honey, uh!

Dig a hole, dig it deeper, deeper!
Climb a mountain, climb it steeper, steeper!
Dig a hole! Dig it deeper, deeper!
Track a trail of honey through it all

If the end comes faster than we had expected
And predictions lead us to the final fall
If the flowers crack the grain and weave the patterns of the pavement
I can hear you shouting over it all

Mine smell like honey, uh!
Mine smell like honey, uh!
Mine smell like hu- hu- hu- hu- honey, uh!

Dig a hole, dig it deeper, deeper!
Climb a mountain, climb it steeper, steeper!
Dig a hole! Dig it deeper, deeper!
Track a trail of honey through it all

Dig a hole, dig it deeper, deeper!
Climb a mountain, climb it steeper, steeper!
Dig a hole! Dig it deeper, deeper!
Track a trail of honey through it all

You track a trail of honey through it all
You track a trail of honey

General CommentI think he is comparing of parents at a graduation. How they sit and brag about all the wonderful things their child has done. If your's dug a hole, mine dug it deeeper, if your climbed a steep mountain, mine climed steeper. Parents are always talking about how fast time goes and how thier child wants to do something different than thier plan for them.
He isn't the competitive my graduate has to be best type of person. Honey is golden, pure, and sweet. He is appreciating the graduate for who they are.He just wants to follow the graduate and experience the wonders they discover growing up.

yes this is a feeble attempt but someone had to get the discussion started.

My InterpretationSounds like he's referring to someone who is maybe too proud of their own accomplishments; someone who has do things first, better or different than everybody else. Even if it all goes wrong, they will still insist their way is the best way, and that the "fruit" of their own endeavours - or their own children - can do no wrong.

General CommentHe's singing about his friend, who brags about his balls. Because he is unstoppable, and infallible, even his balls smell like honey, no matter how much climbing or digging he does.
