"Federal Funding" as written by John Mccrea, Xan Mccurdy and Gabriel Nelson....
You'll receive the federal funding, you can add another wing
You'll receive the federal funding, you can add another wing
Take your colleagues out to dinner, pay your brother to come and sing
Take your colleagues out to dinner, pay your brother to come and sing
Sing, sing, sing

You'll receive the federal funding, you can have a hefty grant
You'll receive the federal funding, you can have a hefty grant
Strategize this presentation, make them see that you're the man
Strategize this presentation, make them see that you're the man

Man, man, man

You'll receive the federal funding, you can pass the simple test
You'll receive the federal funding, you can pass the simple test
You can access information, make them see that you're the best
You can access information, make them see that you're the best
Best, best, best

General CommentI'm pretty sure it's "you can build another wing," which goes with the satire of the federal bailout system and the wasteful nature of the banking system.

My OpinionEvery time I hear this song I wonder if John M's brother was given some federal funding and was told to invite Cake to come and sing. John could have written the song for that occasion, taking the opportunity for an ironic jab at the way influence works to secure deals.
