@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
No one can see me and
I've lost all feeling and
I know I won't die alone
I'll stop you from breathing and
all your deceiving and
this house is not my home
No
More forgiveness
No
and the reason is
I know I won't die alone
I have returned
and everyone dies and
everyone lies
They're waiting for the second coming again
Everyone tries to hold onto their lives
When no one's alive
Bring me 115
You stand for nothing and
overlooked something
I'll bring you down all on my own
I'm the end I can taste it
I'll justify hatred
I am the chosen one
left hand of all that's sacred
No
More forgiveness
No
I'll bring you death and pestilence
I'll bring you down on my own.
I have returned
and everything dies
look to the skies
to see the end of all creation again
See with your eyes
my army of flies
when no one's alive
bring me 115
I've lost all form and unity
where has my life gone
I'll bring you doom that you can see
and bring you down to see you bleed.
and everyone dies and
everyone lies
They're waiting for the second coming again
Everyone tries to hold onto their lives
When no one's alive
Bring me 115
and everything dies

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
Midnight
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms.
“Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
Contrary to what most people think, I do not believe that this song's meaning is exclusive to the game, Nazi Zombies. The lyrics are more biblical in nature and are referencing the apocalypse/Rapture.
The lyrics "No more forgiveness" means the Lord will not forgive the peoples' sins any longer.
"They're waiting for the second coming again" is meaning the damned are longing for the return of Jesus Christ, hoping that He will save them.
The lines "See with your eyes; My army of flies" references the bible and great suffering: In Ex 8:21 we read, "I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are"; in Ex 8:24, .... "the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies"; in Ps 78:45, "He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them."
"To see the end of all creation" Once again this line is referencing the end of the world when all creation is destroyed.
Another good example, albeit an easy one to miss, is when Siegman sings "Left hand of all that is sacred". The left side of the body and left handed people were considered linked to the Devil until around the late 19th century and still are in some cultures. There are over 25 references in the bible that suggest the left hand as being evil. She says she is the "Chosen one, Left hand of all that is sacred", meaning the Anti-Christ or Lucifer herself/himself.
There are a lot more references in the lyrics but I feel this is a pretty long comment already.
Also, just because this is suggesting the Rapture and the coming of the Anti-Christ, doesn't mean it has nothing to do with zombies... ;)
that is a very good interpretation from a biblical out-of-the-xbox thinking. But from an in-the-xbox prespective:
"no more forgiveness" she will be unrelentless to kill the charachters without mercy.

"waiting for the second coming again",perhaps hailing the return of nazi zombies and the long loved minigame and a continuous fight with samantha.

"see with your eyes my army of flies when no one's alive", every one is dead and is going to kill you (army of flies=zombies)

"to see the end of all creation" a zombie apocolypse

"i am the chosen one left hand of all that's sacred" By chance samantha was the one to control the zombies and proclaims herself the ultimate evil ("left hand of all thats sacred")
This song is most definitely not about Samantha. If you were truly an Xbox player you would know her storyline is nothing about "her controlling the zombie apocalypse" Shes fucking nine lol... she has no idea whats going on.

Anyway, to agree with Kaox, the line "I am the left hand of everything that is sacred." is not referring to satan at all, but to Gabriel the Angel. Although Catholics don't believe this, but in Christian theology he acted as "God’s mediator with man".

I can easily see a dark archangel from God raging and screaming about the sin and indecency of humans and bringing about the destruction of the earth.
"No one can see me and I've lost all feeling": Samantha is for the most part depicted as a demonic/ghost voice/anouncer and only in the finally
"I know I won't die alone": refering to the zombies and the eventualy the 4 charachters she will have her revenge on.
"no more forgiveness": she will be unrelentless to kill the charachters without mercy.
"the reason is i wont die alone" she wont give mercy/forgiveness because she DOESN'T want to die alone
"waiting for the second coming again",perhaps hailing the return of nazi zombies and the long loved minigame and a continuous fight with samantha. or wen all hope is lost people are looking for devine intervention.
"see with your eyes my army of flies when no one's alive", every one is dead and are going to kill you (army of flies=zombies)
(everything i dindn't reference is either a repete of the the stated or self explanitory.
"to see the end of all creation" a zombie apocolypse
"i am the chosen one left hand of all that's sacred" By chance samantha was the one to control the zombies and proclaims herself the ultimate evil ("left hand of all thats sacred")
ok 115 is the code name of the metoer that landed in shino numa in waw that later got 3 pieces brken off and sent to hiltlers kino der toten [theater of the dead] when an idiot nazi decided to sniff the 3 peices he got deathly ill and when he died the docters took the virus and transformed it to reanimate dead bodys but before this all happened richtofen kill samantas father and locked samantha away on the moon but so fillec with rage samantha toook control of the 115 meteor and made it hit earth the song is explaining this story
@lstarvd After all these years this song came to mind for some reason I am not aware of and it was gnawing at me that I had no clue what 115 even referred to but this explanation makes so much sense and for that I thank you.
"I know i won't die on my own" means that he/she won't die alone because of all the undead. "They're waiting for the second coming again" refers to the second coming of christ. "My army of flies" refers to his/her flies around them because they're dead. "The end of all creation again" may be referring to when God flooded the earth, or when the meteor struck earth. I do not know.

No Comments?! This song is so epic! 115 is refering to the 115th element of the periodic. <callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Element_115>
This song is coming from the point of view of Samantha(or the ghost of rather) who has a deep hatred for the survivors, mainly Richtofen, and is talking about killing them. The lines hat throw me off are 'You stand for nothing And overlooked something'
'I am the chosen one left hand of all that is sacred'
'They're waiting for the second coming again.'
No idea what these could possibly mean. So far don't know anything about Samantha being 'The chosen one' I think the 'second coming' is referring to the return of the four survivors because at the end of Der reise they time traveled and the zombies were waiting on them.
Hope more is revealed in Ascension!
to attempt to resolve your confusion

'you stand for nothing and overlooked something' could mean they overlooked the fact she can use zombies to kill them? (based on black ops of course)

'I am the Chosen One left hand of all thats sacred' can mean shes the chosen one to kill the time travellers, and she is the left hand of all thats sacred can mean shes beleives its sacred to kill them as docter Richtofen did to her

'they're waiting for the second coming again' Can mean they're waiting for the zombies to resurrect and have there 'second coming' or it could mean what you said as well

hope i helped :)
Actually, I think "you stand for nothing" is refering specifically for Richtofen, as if someone stands for nothing they have no loyalties. This line probably is refering to when he killed Sam and her father. (Don't know about the "overlooked something" but you might be right on that)

"I am the Chosen One" may be refering to how she was able to overcome death and in a way return, or it could be her claiming to be a sort of anti-Christ figure. "Left hand of all that is sacred" is a sort of religious reference. The left hand of anything generally means the opposite of it, in this case all that is sacred, meaning she could be considered satanic.

"They're waiting for the second coming again" This is again a religious reference. The second coming is when all souls are supposed to be resurected and judged. More importantly, that means the dead coming back to life.

There is a lot of religious imagery in this song.

Throughout the song one can sort of hear a conflict between the demonic version of Sam and the normal version. Could mean she is either not fully in control of her spirit, or is torn between a desire for revenge against Edward driven by anger (the demonic voice) and something else (Had it in my head but I forgot it).
It looks like it's religious, but it's more of a reference to the game itself.

No one can see me - they really can't see her
I know I won't die alone - she's out to have Richtofen die
I'll stop you from breathing and all your deceiving - same as the before line
this house is not my home - it isn't, is it?

I have returned - she's back (obviously)

and everyone dies and everyone lies - lies as in lying down, when you're knocked down
They're waiting for the second coming again - the revival of all players in the next round

Everyone tries to hold onto their lives - if they die it's game over, so they try to survive for as long as possible

I'm the end I can taste it I'll justify hatred - again talking about revenge
I am the chosen one left hand of all that's sacred - she's being delusional here

and everything dies look to the skies - when you're knocked down you're aiming up
to see the end of all creation again - the ceiling is crumbling when the power is on

See with your eyes my army of flies - army of flies in another language could be translated back and result in the phrase waves of undead

I'll bring you doom that you can see - infinite waves of zombies
and bring you down to see you bleed. - knocked down and bleeding out

It sounds crazy, I know. But trust me, it's not really all that religious.
I am the chosen one
left hand of all that is sacred - left hand of god? usually means that the said person is the one who does all the dirty work, ie. killing ppl or things, ever watch Van Helsing? he was deemed the left hand of god, and he killed dracula, and acording to the story alot of other evil demons or some sutch, the left and of god is gabriel, one of the arch angles, apparently sam thinks she is sent by god to kill everyone and wipe the planet clean for the second coming,

They're waiting for the second coming again - second coming, christ's second coming, ie. the end of the world+zombies, this sound familiar?

what do you think?
I may be able to add a little more.

When she says "you stand for nothing" she is referring to the fact that Dr. Richtofen is a sociopath, and that he has no allegiances (he is manipulating the three other survivors, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai by wiping their memories)

When she says that he "overlooked something" she means that Dr. Richtofen never really killed her, that she was given these 'powers' in his attempt to killer Samantha and her father.

Also she could think she is "the left hand of all that is sacred" because either she believes herself to be a god-like figure (having such power over life and death)

Also the second coming could refer to the return of either a)Samantha b)The undead or c)Simply the players waiting to be picked up.

Hope my input helped a tad!
well, coming from samantha's POV, i'd guess when she says "you stand for nothing and overlooked something", she means that she think's richtofan's research and efforts are pointless, and he forgot to take into account the consiquences of the effects of the 115.

"i am the Chosen One; left hand of all that is sacred" is referring to satan. Satan is the opposite of all that is sacred. when they refer to the chosen one, they mean someone who has just been consumed by satan.

"they're waiting for the Second Coming again" means the apocalypse. The second coming is supposed to be that Day Of Judgement. in Nazi Zombies terms, this means the Zombies will most likely Overrun the entire world.

hoped this helped man.
I have no idea what this song is about..but I love listening to it.
this song is epic!
