No one can see me and
I've lost all feeling and
I know I won't die alone
I'll stop you from breathing and
all your deceiving and
this house is not my home

No
More forgiveness
No
and the reason is
I know I won't die alone

I have returned

and everyone dies and
everyone lies
They're waiting for the second coming again

Everyone tries to hold onto their lives
When no one's alive
Bring me 115

You stand for nothing and
overlooked something
I'll bring you down all on my own

I'm the end I can taste it
I'll justify hatred
I am the chosen one
left hand of all that's sacred

No
More forgiveness
No
I'll bring you death and pestilence
I'll bring you down on my own.

I have returned

and everything dies
look to the skies
to see the end of all creation again

See with your eyes
my army of flies
when no one's alive
bring me 115

I've lost all form and unity
where has my life gone
I'll bring you doom that you can see
and bring you down to see you bleed.

and everyone dies and
everyone lies
They're waiting for the second coming again

Everyone tries to hold onto their lives
When no one's alive
Bring me 115

and everything dies
look to the skies
to see the end of all creation again

See with your eyes
my army of flies
when no one's alive
bring me 115

and nobody cries
when everyone dies
and no one's alive
bring me 115

    My Interpretation

Contrary to what most people think, I do not believe that this song's meaning is exclusive to the game, Nazi Zombies. The lyrics are more biblical in nature and are referencing the apocalypse/Rapture.

The lyrics "No more forgiveness" means the Lord will not forgive the peoples' sins any longer.

"They're waiting for the second coming again" is meaning the damned are longing for the return of Jesus Christ, hoping that He will save them.

The lines "See with your eyes; My army of flies" references the bible and great suffering: In Ex 8:21 we read, "I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are"; in Ex 8:24, .... "the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies"; in Ps 78:45, "He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them."

"To see the end of all creation" Once again this line is referencing the end of the world when all creation is destroyed.

Another good example, albeit an easy one to miss, is when Siegman sings "Left hand of all that is sacred". The left side of the body and left handed people were considered linked to the Devil until around the late 19th century and still are in some cultures. There are over 25 references in the bible that suggest the left hand as being evil. She says she is the "Chosen one, Left hand of all that is sacred", meaning the Anti-Christ or Lucifer herself/himself.

There are a lot more references in the lyrics but I feel this is a pretty long comment already.

Also, just because this is suggesting the Rapture and the coming of the Anti-Christ, doesn't mean it has nothing to do with zombies... ;)

    Song Meaning

"No one can see me and I've lost all feeling": Samantha is for the most part depicted as a demonic/ghost voice/anouncer and only in the finally

"I know I won't die alone": refering to the zombies and the eventualy the 4 charachters she will have her revenge on.

"no more forgiveness": she will be unrelentless to kill the charachters without mercy.

"the reason is i wont die alone" she wont give mercy/forgiveness because she DOESN'T want to die alone

"waiting for the second coming again",perhaps hailing the return of nazi zombies and the long loved minigame and a continuous fight with samantha. or wen all hope is lost people are looking for devine intervention.

"see with your eyes my army of flies when no one's alive", every one is dead and are going to kill you (army of flies=zombies)

(everything i dindn't reference is either a repete of the the stated or self explanitory.

"to see the end of all creation" a zombie apocolypse

"i am the chosen one left hand of all that's sacred" By chance samantha was the one to control the zombies and proclaims herself the ultimate evil ("left hand of all thats sacred")

"I know i won't die on my own" means that he/she won't die alone because of all the undead. "They're waiting for the second coming again" refers to the second coming of christ. "My army of flies" refers to his/her flies around them because they're dead. "The end of all creation again" may be referring to when God flooded the earth, or when the meteor struck earth. I do not know.

This song is coming from the point of view of Samantha(or the ghost of rather) who has a deep hatred for the survivors, mainly Richtofen, and is talking about killing them. The lines hat throw me off are 'You stand for nothing And overlooked something'

'I am the chosen one left hand of all that is sacred'

'They're waiting for the second coming again.'

No idea what these could possibly mean. So far don't know anything about Samantha being 'The chosen one' I think the 'second coming' is referring to the return of the four survivors because at the end of Der reise they time traveled and the zombies were waiting on them.

Hope more is revealed in Ascension!

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
