"I Don't Want To Live There" as written by and John Sanders/ruland Van Deusen....
L.A., you made me think
Too much gold and you sink
I don't want to live there, buy there
Or die there
I don't want to live there, buy there
Or die there

Nashville, you're much too safe
Quit weighing the pros and cons
Just create
I don't want to live there, buy there
Or die there
I don't want to live there, buy there
Or die there

Give to me miles of tall evergreens
And the smell of the ocean
And cool mountain breeze
Won't you please?

33rd's singing to me
Birds offer up perfect melody
I just want to live here, love here
And die here
I just want to live here, love here
And die here

Give to me miles of tall evergreens
And the smell of the ocean
And cool mountain breeze
Won't you please?

Hey hey

My InterpretationThis one seems fairly obvious to me, they're from Washington and want to stay there rather than LA or Nashville.

General CommentI was wondering the same thing and asked Tony from (the band) on Twitter and he said, "It's a reference to a street in Anacortes, WA"

General CommentYou're right that this song is straightforward, but I'm confused about "33rd." Oregon was the 33rd state, but as you say, they're from Washington. Any idea what that lyric means?
