(Go)

I drove for miles just to find you and find myself
Only screams, all these voices in my head
You gave me strength, gave me hope for a lifetime
I never was satisfied

This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up, giving up
This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up, giving up

Giving up (giving up)
Giving up (giving up)
Giving up

It's not your fault
I'm a bitch, I'm a monster
Yes, I'm a beast and I feast when I conquer
But I'm alone on my throne, all these riches
I came this way, all this way just to say, ayy

This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up, giving up
This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up, giving up

Giving up (giving up)
Giving up (giving up)
Giving up

I'm giving up, baby, yes, I'm giving up, baby
Feels like I've been driving for miles
Yes, I'm giving up, baby
And I can't seem to silence these (yeah) voices in my head
This time won't you save me?
Come save me
This time won't you save me?
Come save me

This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up giving up
This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up, giving up

This time won't you save me? This time won't you save me?
Baby, I can feel myself giving up, giving up
Giving up

I love this song..my FAV. from Nicki..my heart broke when i heard this song..i want to save her, ya know? she has to be going through alot of things. from people expecting only greatness out of her, to competeting with someone who influenced her, for trying to make her ''throne'' you know...BUT i feel like this about this song...before this album came out NICKI said we will meet the real NICKI who is ONIKA.well, i think this song is written to ONIKA from NICKI..i think NICKI is saying, look,i lost you ( who i am) i left you behind (the real NICKI) I think Nicki is scared and lost and has no where to turn b/c everyone expects greatness out of her. so she's telling ONIKA, i got us here, we finally made it,i saved us, but once NICKI realized how the game was she realized there is no salvation in that. she's asking for ONIKA to save her this time, she wants to find out who she really is, and what she lost in herself..just an idea.. but i LOVE this song, and NICKI HATERS YOU CAN KILL YOURSELF!

NICKI IF YOUR READING THIS, I LOVED YOUR LETTER TO ''BLACK RADIO'' JUST ANOTHER REASON WHY YOU INSPIRE ME!

    Song Meaning

Nicki says via Pink Friday Diaries: Save Me : This song feels like a soundtrack to a movie. It paints a vivid picture of a girl who has it all but still feels very much alone. She’s turned into a monster and pushed the one person who truly loved her away. She drives hundreds of miles, falls to her face sobbing, and begs him to save her.

    One of her best!

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
