"1984" as written by and Christopher Lane Conley....
I'm dead inside and dying more everyday
Castrate my eyes and cut the lines in my face
The alcohol the empty walls regress regress erase regret
Return me now to where I was long ago
Yeah yeah yeah

I need you, I need your love.
I'm trying, to rise above.
I want you, to bring me back to life.

I feel their voices in the back of my head
I hear their eyes and turn when nobody is there
The TV screens, the magazines depress disease deny your dreams
Dislocate drain to drifting losing control
Yeah yeah yeah

I need you, I need your love.
I'm trying, to rise above.
I want you, to bring me back to life.

Bring me back to life
Bring me back to life
Bring me back to life

The lack, the need, the fear, the greed
Redeem amend remember when
Return me now to where I was long ago
Yeah yeah yeah

I need you, I need your love.
I'm trying, to rise above.
I want you, I need your love
I want you to bring me back to life.

My OpinionI think this song is amazing. its clearly referring to the 1984 big brother is watching you effect. "The TV screens the magazines" after "I feel their voices in the back of my head". But i think chris conley is meaning this is the effect a certain person is having on him. Really deep lyrics again from Saves the Day. Cannot wait for "Daybreak"
I thinks its "REPRESS, regress to raise regret"

Song MeaningAwesome lyrics, diverse and obviously mean a lot in the way the lyrics are sung. I think its the effect someone has upon the singer, filling their paranoia and the way the world seems to be against them and making him feel suffocated and he needs that person to help get around it and rise above the place where he is. Interpretation goes well with the concept of Under The Boards which it leads on from.
