Don't get me started on what it means to be alive
You're lying to yourself, but then still you act surprised
'Cause you're scared, can't come to terms with what you are
The wolves in sheep's clothing will only lead you so far

You'll wait and they'll go
'Cause in the end, we all end up alone
So just wait, you'll know

Forget everything just for tonight, we'll
Sing like everyone when they're alone
'Cause I've been waiting for the night to say whoa, whoa

I rely on myself, just making sure that was clear
I'm not in need of your crutches, I faced all my fears
And I won what I knew I could have
Life is not a punch card, make the best of what you have

And don't wait, just go
And when you find yourself, please let me know
(It's not too late) just let go

Forget everything just for tonight, we'll
Sing like everyone when they're alone
'Cause I've been waiting for the night to say whoa, whoa
Let's believe that if we all stand together
We're a force that could shake the whole world
For once, I'm doin' something right when we say whoa, whoa

In the end, it's not about what you have
In the end, it's all about where you wanna go
And the roads you take to help you get there
I hope you think that's fair
'Cause you only got one life to lead
So don't take for granted those little things
Those little things are all that we have

Forget everything just for tonight, we'll
Sing like everyone when they're alone
'Cause I've been waiting for the night to say whoa, whoa
Let's believe that if we all stand together
We're a force that could shake the whole world
For once, I'm doin' something right when we say whoa, whoa

We'll sing (whoa, whoa)
(Whoa, whoa) can't forget everything
'Cause I've been waiting for the night to say whoa, whoa

    My Interpretation

"Don't get me started on what it means to be alive you're lying to yourself if you sound and act surprised could you stand become the source of what you are the wolves in sheep's clothing will only lead so far so find your way and you'll go cause in the end we all end up alone so just wait you'll know"

I think that's about people who act content with their lives and their friends, but the bottom line is that if they put any thought into it, they really aren't happy, they just stay so busy (getting fucked up everynight could be a good example) that they don't realize how shitty their lives are. Also that their friends wouldn't really be there in the end if it came down to it "in the end we all end up alone so just wait you'll know".

"I rely on myself just making sure that was clear I'm not in need of your crutches I face all my face fears and I want what I knew I could have life is not a monster make the best of what you have"

I think that's about people who are afraid of living their own lives and supporting themselves, thinking that it's easier to rely on other people than to just do things themselves. Or crutches might refer to people who can't cope with reality, so they use drugs and alcohol to cope. "Life is not a monster, make the best of what you have" could refer to how people think life is shitty so they rely on drugs and alcohol.

So ultimately, I think my interpretation of this song would be that it's about relying on things other than yourself, whether you're relying on other people, drugs, alcohol or any other thing that helps you cheat life.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
