"Trapped In My Mind" as written by Oladipo O. Omishore, Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi and Michael G. Dean....
You see I'm trapped in my mind
And I'm going trippy
Oh I don't think I'll ever go

You see the walls are so high
That I couldn't climb them
So I don't know which way to roll

But I'm stuck in rewind
Oh I'm looking forward
Damn I wish I new what went wrong

My mental got hit
Oh lord please help me pull through

Eww way
Ew way ew
Eww way oh

Eww way
Ew way ew
Eww way oh

You see the sun seems to shine
When I am not looking
Oh he's seen the trick every time

My things do get out of hand
Once in a while inside my mental
Hey at least a nigga ain't die

Hey now when I see what It
I am not lucky
Hey I like to pat my own back

Now it's a gift and a curse since my birth
I'm in a prison
Oh I'm happy right where I'm at

You see I'm trapped in my mind
And I know it's crazy
Hey it's not that bad at all

When yo think of the world
I know it's crazy
Hey I'm not that bad at all

You see I'm trapped in my mind
And I know it's crazy
Hey it's not that bad at all

When you think of the world
I know it's crazy
Hey I'm not that bad at all

Eww way
Ew way ew
Eww way oh

Eww way
Ew way ew
Eww way oh

General CommentHes talking about being in his own world and he doesn't really want to leave, and even if he could he can't. Hes gotten used to it and he knows hes different. He is accepting he will never be normal.

My InterpretationIt's not necessarily about being high. It's open to interpret.Sometimes I feel like Kid Cudi's been reading my journal.

General CommentTrapped in my Mind is lyrical genius by Cudi. He is "trapped in his mind" yet he likes where he is at. He enjoys the effects of drugs and knows it is self destructive but he cannot escape because the walls are 'too high'. These walls are not literally high, but they are the walls Cudi has created in his head due to drug use. I love Kid Cudi

General CommentI don't think it's about being high simply because he says "now it's a gift and a curse since my birth". I think it's about the subjective reality that we all experience due to a combination of our expectations, what we remember, and how we perceive reality ourselves. Everyone's subjective reality is different. Some people experience a reality that is closer to objective reality than others due to a variety of factors. Also, the objectiveness of one's reality can change over the course of one's life. What he is talking about is being in a reality that is very far from objective reality. He's been there his entire life. He knows the bad side to it all, but after living this way as long as he has, he's grown used to it and now sees the good side too and has learned that it's not as bad as he once thought. He feels like since he's been there his entire life he's trapped with no way out.

General CommentHe's got no one to talk too. He's trapped in his mind. It's not about any drugs.

My InterpretationThe song is about being aware of a higher consciousness we are all trapped in our minds by our own egos which is how we perceive the world, But the way we perceive the world isnt "Reality" Cudi is aware of this fact thats what the song is speaking about. Which is why on the track right before it GHOST! the ending in "I hope they understand that I really understand that, they dont understand"

General Commentthis song is most likely about a solo lsd trip he went on without anyone else with him or he spiritually went off on some sort of psychedelic drug. for those of you who have tripped on some acid before, there is no better way to explain your thoughts other than being trapped in your mind hah. "stuck in rewind but im looking forward". this sounds like something that could happen on acid considering when you are tripping hard as fuck you tend to reflect on yourself and reevaluate past experiences. i think cudi took a couple strips of acid and after (or during) his trip he composed this badass song. cudi is the fucking man.

General CommentIt's about being so high that you're trapped in your own mind and don't know what's going on around you because you're just stuck in you're head

General Commentits another song about him getting high. "I took he's trapped in his mind, and when you here these words, you think, woah thats crazy! He's says nah its not bad at all, being trapped in you mind isn't that bad,...."its a gift and a curse" Curse+He's trapped in a prison, he cant just LEAVE the state Gift=He likes being high, in that calm prison......He says in comparison to all the crazy shit that goes on in the world, somebody that has a weed addiction is light, he's like theirs MURDERS, child molestors, all crazy stuff in hte world, im just addicted to weed. lol.
