Bottled it all up
Felt the pain before but not this much
Oh my God, it's real
How will I ever heal?

Here are your new eyes
It's time to see life with brand new sight
How could I now ever see positively?
It's hard trying to hold on
With all that I have lost
It all seems so wrong
But I trust You are God

It's hard to know
When I'll recover fully, it might be slow
And what would I ever do
If I did not have You
To hold me back?
From throwing in the towel
Not looking back, on everything you have done
And what You've overcome

It's hard trying to hold on
With all that I have lost
It all seems so wrong
But I trust You are God

So will you hold me?
As I'm crushed, my heart is in pieces
And although I'm strong when I bleed
Right now I'm just too weak

Peace come over you
Peace come over you
Feel the peace come over you
It's all you have to do
Peace come over you
Feel the peace come over you
Feel the peace come over you
It's all you have to do

General Commentthis song really hits home & I think anyone can relate to it.
it really shows bryce's faith and I love that.

I think the song was written in a time when nothing was going as planned and life was really difficult.
it's times like these that can make us feel hopeless, so far away from our god.
but there comes a time when you step back ("here are your new eyes")
and realize that god never once left you. he was always right beside you.
in knowing this, a sense of comfort arises. "a peace comes over you"
you know that while things may still not be perfect- god has a plan for you.
as long as we trust him, everything will turn out alright.

Lyric CorrectionI think the second stanza should be "now ever see" instead of "now never see".
