The network, ant farm, corporate staff, a honeycomb of bees
Born in this world naked and free, but end up one of these
No mans an island, thats for sure, but weve taken this too far
Dependence on the systems got us locked behind its bars

Lockstep, we all march to the corporate drum
Hardwired, plugged in for news and fun
Cash strapped, hair-trigger on trap door
Strapped in to an endless global war

Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid

License, SS, credit score, were a number, not a name
You can live your life autonomous, but you wont be in the game
The world is more connected now; we do the matrixs bid
But you can just unplug yourself, get off the network grid

Lockstep, we all march to the corporate drum
Hardwired, plugged in for news and fun
Cash strapped, hair-trigger on trap door
Strapped in to an endless global war

Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid
Get off the grid

General CommentIt's said, a teenager spends at least 8 hours engaged in some kind of eletronic device (computer, cell phone, TV, video game, movies, music, etc.) Time to "get off the grid" and take a walk through the park.
