This Road has become my life
I gotta get it out, gotta get it out, the darkness in my light
This Road has become my life
I gotta get it out, gotta get it out, the darkness in the light

Ive had the world, i turned it down
know my place, ive worn the crown,
but still i refuse to turn it around
i feel the cold it creeps in slow, felt the rush of no control,
some come fast, some come slow but somehow this gets old

Perfect diamond, hes a hippy and a diamond

(MODSUN)
Rolling Stone,
from the moment that i stepped out,
on the grind to grow some roots eventually branch out
make some goals, fuck with and bros,
nearly sold my damn soul at the crossroads
check this toll, pages and bookmarks
made it down every street without being booksmart
head in the clouds, i stray from the thunder
distance between up and under, is what...

This Road has become my life
I gotta get it out, gotta get it out, the darkness in the light

(MODSUN)
Is it a question,
why we chase a certain feeling, a suggestion,
don't let that shit become appealing, interrupted,
by the sound of thinking out loud,
too much good overall to not act proud
first round, i came in kick it, last taste,
imma let the clouds thicken, change of environment,
new perspective, only thing that saved me having to learn another lesson,

This Road has become my life
I gotta get it out, gotta get it out, the darkness in my light
This Road has become my life
I gotta get it out, gotta get it out, the darkness in the light

General CommentThis is actually MODSUN's song featuring Jonny.
They played this song for the first time ever when I saw them live at the Alabama Music Box on September 22 in Mobile, Alabama.
Amazing song and amazing guys. Can't wait to see them again :]

General CommentI hear it as "the darkness in my life"

    and it's:

    "Rollin stoned
from the moment that I stepped out
on the ground to grow some roots
    eventually branch out
made some goals, f*cked the rookies and pros
nearly sold my damn soul at the crossroads"

I've been waiting for these lyrics for so long :)

General CommentI personally think this song is about his addiction to certain drugs and how he wishes to cleanse himself of the darkness in his life (drugs). Ironically, at the beginning of this song he professes: "I can't remember the last time I was this high." Obviously Mod Sun is an infamously heavy weed smoker and they were probably high off that, but still quite funny.
