I need to know where you been
To know where we're going
But you're not letting me in
You're too scared to let that wall
Just tumble down again
I know you been hurt
Who are you fooling
I think I'm breaking the curse
The closer I get to you
The more you let me learn

I will break you down tonight
Both my eyes are open wide

You don't have hide it
It's a beautiful scar
So don't leave me in the dark
You don't have to fight it
It's a beautiful scar
Now I know just who who are

I know it's harder to trust
When that trust is broken
You haven't given so much
Cause everything that you gave
Was never quite enough
You're always taking a chance
With what you're exposing
But if you want it to last
You can't be afraid to say
Where it all began

I will break you down tonight
Both my eyes are open wide

You don't have hide it
It's a beautiful scar
So don't leave me in the dark
You don't have to fight it
It's a beautiful scar
Now I know just who who are
It's a beautiful scar
Don't be afraid of who you really are

Will you show me
Will you bare it all
Will you show me
I'll be there to break the fall

Don't you keep it all inside
That part of you has never died
I know you numbed it all away
That pain was way too much to take
But now I'm here
The dam broke loose
The tears will fall
And you'll find you
You're not alone
We'll make it through
We've crossed that bridge
To something new

You don't have hide it
It's a beautiful scar
So don't leave me in the dark
You don't have to fight it
It's a beautiful scar
Now I know just who who are
It's a beautiful scar
Don't be afraid of who you really are

I love this song. I'm listening to it for the first time right now. I think its about a girl that Chris loves but this girl is afraid to be herself and show her scar because she's afraid of what people will think and how they will react to it. He's telling her that he understands how she feels and that he loves her no matter what and he's always here for her and that will never change because he thinks she is beautiful inside and out.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
