Do you recall waking up on a dirty couch in the grey fog
And the grey dog barking down the street?
Columns shake your feet
Beneath your feet.

Do you recall - your face was white as all?
Do you bone the sheets?
Do you think of me?
Your long lost friend from the sea.

How long with the heat?
How long was He?

General CommentSpooky stuff. Earthquake...grey fog...grey dog. Imagine this person sitting on the street in the fog with the distant bark of a dog. And this voice calls out to this person as the ground shakes. The combination of this imagery with the ambience is gold.

General CommentIt surprises me not more people have commented? Such a sad song. I've just been dumped and this song seems to signify just the bleakness and desolation of the end of a relationship.

My InterpretationThis song is clearly about drugs- waking up and still being high, in the gray fog.

Also, the lyrics might be wrong...

Do you recall waking up on a dirty couch in the grey fog
And the grey dark, walking down the street
