That was a wise crack
But you're not a bad dude
Although you'd make bedroom eyes
At a test tube

Late bloomers arrive
When they want to
Then they grow up

She's an accomplice
To your strangeness
So your father was emotionally restrained
But at that time who really wasn't with their kids?

Straight edge of the blade
How long will you wait?
Come out and play
Straight edge of the blade

There is a six pack of Red Bulls on the horizon
It's like a portrait of your aggression
But you'll always have sex with a stranger
To set you clear

It's a real shame that you don't drive
Since you don't drink, you should be driving me around
As you know I'm an angel behind the wheel

Straight edge of the blade
How long will I wait?
Come out and play
Straight edge of the blade

I have never seen a love that was greater
Between two men who couldn't be straighter
You don't know he betrayed you
But I know he did

All your experience with the opposite sex
Only led to physical regrets
Because you fall in love with your friends
But you keep it hid

Straight edge of the blade
How long will you wait?
Come out and play
Straight edge of the blade
Come out and play
Come out

General CommentHm. I'd have to say that this song is about a girl talking to a guy, and she's trying to get him to "come out" and admit he's gay.

"make bedroom eyes at a test tube" - If you're gay, you can't naturally have a child, but you could have a test tube baby.

"All your experience with the opposite sex
    Only led to physical regrets
Because you fall in love with your friends
But you keep it hid" -Very obviously falling in love with his friends who are also guys

    "Straight edge of the blade
    How long will you wait?
Come out and play" -Coming out of the closet, staying on the "straight" side of the blade, she's enticing him to come out.

Of course this is just how I perceive it.

General CommentI think you're right, Ninja. My fiance and I (both guys) were on the front row at their Dallas concert, and I had my arm around him. Before she sang this, she said "This one's for you and you" pointing to us, and then winked at us after the song. Jenny's my favorite artist, and it was one of the greatest moments of my life.
