"So Let Us Create" as written by and Ben Thornewill....
Isn't every day exactly what we make?
Mistakes, mistakes...
And often on the same day we'll make the same mistakes.
Let's get to know them then,
let's get to know them then...

So let us create
what we need each other to be
and I'll be
what you need for me to be.

And if your dreams are far too real
let me in them then,
let me in them then...

And with your dreams I'll make a deal,
I'll slowly change the feel.
I will soften them then,
I will soften them then...

So let us create
what we need each other to be
and I'll be
what you need for me to be.

And I will grab hold
of your small little nose
and I will warm it then,
I will warm it then...

And then I know I'll go
and say something that I know
could be the end then,
could be the end then...

    My InterpretationI have a few interpretations of this song...

    First, I can see Ben's explanation of this being about the beginning of a relationship and the compromise that is necessary for any relationship.

    However, listening to the song, the meaning that I get out of it is two deeply saddened people coming together after their own personal tragedies (or one common tragedy) and basically agreeing to become that thing the other so desperately needs.

    I think the last verse shows just how fragile love (or any relationship) can be, yet we still take risks (because how can we not?).
