"Take Me (As You Found Me)" as written by Stephen Christian Arnold, Christian Edwin Mcalhaney, Joseph Milligan, Deon Rexroat and Nathan Young....
The ground is shaking underneath, now that you're here
A body's skipping beats when you appear
The world is on fire, since you've come here
What if every desire is here with me?

You're here with me
You're here with me
You're here with me

Take me as you found me,
Take me as you found me
Or leave me to die
Leave me wanting,
Leave me wanting
The rest of your life

Who's gonna drink my blood, now that you're gone.
Who's gonna ride up my roads now that you're gone?
Who's gonna tear my flesh with a siren song?
Now that you're gone,
And now that you're gone.

Take me as you found me,
Take me as you found me
Or leave me tonight,
Leave me wanting,
Leave me wanting
The rest of your life

Take me as you found me,
Take me as you found me
Or leave me to die
Leave me wanting,
Leave me wanting
The rest of your life,

The rest of your life.

You left me stranded,
Oh, now that you're gone.
Don't leave me standing,
Oh, here all alone.

Take me as you found me,
Take me as you found me
Or leave me tonight,
Leave me wanting,
Leave me wanting
The rest of your life

Take me as you found me,
Take me as you found me
Or leave me to die
Leave me wanting,
Leave me wanting
The rest of your life,
The rest of your life

Song MeaningHmmm, I was thinking it more along the lines of from the perspective of Jesus... basically talking to someone who is turning away from him? The main verse that made me think it is: "Who's gonna drink my blood, now that you're gone" but the rest fit too...

General Comment"Who's going to drain my blood"

    "You left me stranded (oh)
    Now that you're gone
    Don't leave me standing (oh)
    Here all alone"

I'd argue that if this song has anything to do with Jesus, which I doubt, it's written to him, not from his perspective. e.g. "Who's going to right all my wrongs"

General CommentWho's going to drink my blood
    Now that you're gone
Who's going to right all my wrongs
    Now that you're gone
Who's going to tear my flesh with a siren song
    Now that you're gone
    Woaahh
    Now that you're gone

If it is in reference to Jesus, my interpretation is that he feels as if God has abandoned him and with this in the first verse he is saying who will drink my blood (his sins) referencing the last supper where Jesus tells the disciples to drink the wine and eat the bread which are his blood and body shed and broken for us all.

In communion we drink the juice which symbolizes Jesus's blood shed for all, and through this we remember what he did and why: dying for OUR sins making us right with God. , and "right my .

If Jesus is out of his life who's going to "drink my blood" "right my wrongs". He bore our sins when he died for us and righted our every wrong in life and in doing so took our punishment.

As for the "Who's going to tear my flesh with a siren song" i can only interpret this as his referencing the Bible and the descriptions of the floggings etc. (you've all seen "The Passion") siren song. sirens call you in to harm, not sure here but he willingly (although he was afraid and asked if there was another way in Gethsemane) handed himself over, to a certainly known death.

Funny how things can be interpreted so differently by each persons own paradigm

Song Meaning"This was Brenden O’Briens favorite song on the record, which meant so much to Christian and I.

Whose going to drain my blood is a reference to my neighbor Tim who was on dialysis. His X wife loved him so much that she would take him to the hospital once or twice a week for his procedures. They weren’t even together and yet she cared that much.

I thought this song was going to be the biggest of our career, that didn’t happen, but it does remain my favorite on DITW." - Stephen Christian anberlinlyrics.tumblr.com June 2014

Song MeaningThis...along with The Art Of War should give signs to think that this will be the last love song Stephen will ever write.

This beautiful song is about most likely a relationship in that final accord towards acceptance (and most likely towards the big plunge of marriage) which is literal and figurative in it's own sense. "Take me as you found me" is saying you should have me now after what we've been through or just leave me with no regard. Things like this don't just happen overnight so in the song he switches off by saying "Or leave me to die", "Or leave me tonight" because it's uncertain.

"Who's gonna drain my blood" saying who's going to get under my skin like you (said in adoration). "Who's gonna write all my wrongs) saying who will clean me up. "Who's going to tear me flesh, with a siren song" is like the first line saying who will be the same like you without being you?

"Leave me wanting" is him saying that he cannot live without her
