"I Think I'll Go Inside" as written by and Joshua Ryan Radin....
When I'm weary and tired,
when I'm far from home,
I think of you in the rain,
and I kiss you.
I can't build you a castle,
I can't buy you a ring,
I can't see you tonight,
So, I'll miss you,
Now it's raining,
I think I'll go inside.

Somebody stole my suitcase,
filled with pictures of you,
So I forget what your face looks like,
with me,
we're just twenty,
now it's raining,
I think I'll go inside.

And I've felt this way before,
walking out your front door,
I'm a sea, without a shore,
and it's raining,
it's really raining,
I think I'll go inside.

When I miss the sunshine,
and all I've got are clouds,
it's your bed I see,
near the fire,
baby, if you had roads,
I could come and see you,
make your faviroute tea,
and when we tire,
listen to the rain fall,
and walk inside.

Somebody stole my suitcase,
filled with pictures of you,
So I forget what your face looks like,
with me,
we're just twenty,
and it's raining,
I think I'll go inside.

And I've felt this way before,
walking out your front door,
I'm a sea without a shore,
and it's raining,
baby, it's raining,
I think I'll go inside.
Yeah, it's raining,
it's really raining,
I wanna go inside.

General Commenti'm surprised no one's talked about this one yet. i think it's the prettiest song off the new record. it shows he's not totally departed from the sad, victimized songwriter as whom he began his career. i've been hooked on this song for the past few days, even though i've had access to it for a long time. i remember hearing it for the first time way back before the record came out, and thinking how greatly it complemented his old style. and that's the style his original fans are gonna want to see on his upcoming records, so i'd be curious to see how much he departs from the "whisper rock" on later installations. hopefully he won't alienate his older fans by focusing too heavily on the pop-influenced rock he's tending towards now.
